Jhaley12.. i currently have the Boss VE-20 and i am desperate to THROW IT OUT OF THE WINDOW!!
I am totally gutted i didnt find TC-Helicon before i bought it.
The VE-20 sounds like that with me too.. but is not consistent with all pedals. Although Boss have years of experince making pedals..
In my opinion the VE is 3-4 years behind in algorithms compared to TC-helicon. Boss are only just entering into the vocal pedal market and TC-helicon have years of experience! They are AWESOME!

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate. I'm an Older Musician (Actually OLD Musician). I gave up Bands many years ago. Decided to start performing SOLO about a Year ago. Bought a Bose Tower System and a G-XT. Been using this arrangement in a very Basic way, i.e., G-XT as it came in Box. Plug my Guitar into Bottom Guitar Input; Mic into Mic Input; XLR over to Bose Input. Set G-XT Harmony to suit me. Everything works fine - for a Year! Recently, I decided I wanted to come out of the "Through" Jack at the top of the G-XT, go to a Donner Harmonizer Pedal; and then go to the separate Guitar Input on my Little Bose. When I Plug my Cable into the Top "Through" Jack as one should to go to an Amp, all Output Ceases! No Vocal Output. No Guitar Output. Nothing! As I said, I'm up in Years (71) and probably doing something wrong. Anyone have any ideas? Thank You in advance!

Yea, I have the harmony G and that one of the problems with a condenser mic, it bleeds back through it. I ws hopeing to eliminate that with the noise gate on the XT. I have a SM beta 58a also, so maybe I will use that instead.
wanting to use 2 of these in our band.. what would be the best way to route the cables.. 1) run into one box from the guitar and thru to the other box and then out to amp.....?? 2) run into splitter..out of splitter to both boxes..out of one box into amp....turn down guitar level on that box.....3) or same as 2 but use a dummy 1/4 inch plug out of box to cut guitar signal going thru box..................??????????

I just bought the TC Helicon Harmony G to use with my band. I will use it to do back vocals only. I am not clear about the use of that with the guitar. If you plug the guitar on the pedal, the algorithm will read the chords and make my back vocals on the same tune? Can I use that with bass too?

Hey I just paid for an XT but haven't rcvd it yet. I paid Australian dollars from Sydney $412. Seems to be the best price here ATM. Just go online to check the prices as they vary wildly. I got prices between $412 and $699 so it pays to look.
Can't wait to play with it but wondering about the pitch correction I saw on the website. N one seems to mention it but on one vid it said you just press and hold the tone button but now I know that gives us the EQ, De-ess options etc. Any ideas there?
Regarding the tone button. Manual says press once to activate the Adaptive Live Engineer Effects, and again to turn same off. Then says double clicking activates and deactivates Correction. When I double click it just turns Live Engineer on and off. Can't get the light to do anything but glow solidly. How do I get light to flash on periodically or glow solidly and flash off periodically?

Liked your Part 1 & Part 2 vids. I have a new voicetone tc-helicon harmony g-xt that i'm having two problems with.
First, many times when power is plugged in the unit displays 8 and locks up. After many tries the unit starts. Seems like how fast I plug in the power cord or by resetting to factory defaults helps. Do you have this problem or have any idea why this happens?
Second, I have trouble getting into Auto-Chromatic Pitch Correction mode. Once the unit is in this mode I have trouble getting it out of tone mode; even if I shut it down. Several times the factory reset didn't even clear the Tone mode. Do you find these Tone mode problems? Please do a video including the Tone mode.
I tried to contact technical support from the web site but wasn't able to send my report. I did send an email, but haven't heard from them.

Hmmmm it sounds like there is some glitchy firmware in your unit. Taking it at face value that you're navigating the pedal and it's functions correctly, that's what I'm led to believe. If you've purchased it new from somewhere and are within warranty, I'd suggest exchanging it. If your unit has a USB connection on it, I suggest downloading the VoiceSupport / Voicetone software app from TC's website and update it's firmware if you're able to. Hope this helps!
@fightingzero Thanks alot, sounded very good the last few gigs live. Any tips on recording (with no guitar). I've hooked it up stereo into my recorder (16 track that has stereo inputs) with a condensor mic in phantom mode. I've tried it in manual mode and set the song key. The effects and overall sound is good, but the harmonies don't work well.??
anyone know what the button in the back is for?

I followed your instructions but I only have presets 1 to 9. I don't have a zero number like shown in the video. That means I only have 9 (or 18 using A and B), when I should have 20 presets. Any ideas? Thanks.

@sdmc222 In regards to recording. If say you ran a dry recording of guitar track through the harmony G XT input from your DAW. Would it track the same?
If you have 5 presets you may have the older model.
Is it possible to split the outgoing signal? One side dry other side harmony? I ask for recording purposes. Thanks!

I've had the Boss VE-20 for two weeks but when I recorded my harmony to my Zoom HD16 the vocals sounded "warbley", as if the song was playing on tape and I was slowing it down just a little with my finger. Is this a common thing with harmonizers? I've tried it without pitch correction but that didn't help. I am considering this one but I want to be sure. Please let me know.
do you have to have a guitar plugged in to this to get the vocal harmonies? I want this for vocals only. I play in a band and just want the vocal options.

Instead of a dummy plug just turn down the guitar. Or you can just choose your key manually, not easy to do on stage but if you sort it out in rehearsals as a preset...
