From a young age I've never let peer pressure scare so if someone forced me to do something it was hell no. That's why I lost a lot of friends last year.

We almost got robbed by a group of lads back in about 2009, walking down our local area having a smoke and drink and they come out of nowhere, corner us all (must have been about 20 of them and 6 of us), literally on the verge of being robbed. My mate come round the corner at the perfect time with another 4 lads and had a fake strap in his jacket lol, he just opened his jacket up and showed them the strap and they all run
👍🏽 Positive message....I work with schools and in my experience, so many parents in the ends have NO CONTROL over their own kids. The result is that the kids don’t respect ANY authority even when you’re trying to help them stay safe (or alive sometimes) Parents need to start monitoring EARLY like when the kids start school coz trust me, it’s too late to start by the time they’re in Yr6 or 7.

Thank you for sharing. Hoping that someone will listen and not allow themselves yo be drawn in. You clearly was raised well because your conscience told you it was wrong and I think this helped you to eventually chose another way. Hoping that you will continue to use your experience yo help other youths!
At the end you say “it saved me” meaning having a big bro etc, but I dunno it could have went like that after the robbery/beating you probably would have got from them and things being exactly the same.. or you may have been a victim all your teenage years but you don’t look like that sort of guy to be fair..
glad you put out this message for parents man, big up yourself ✌️

Nuff respect bro, you gained this good karma 🤙
I had some of the best times back in Peckham, get hazey and then go Morley's or cottage chicken but I'd rather see more people who grew through the endz in boardrooms than in prison cells.
Stay blessed.
This dude is legit! Wisdom comes from suffering and this fella knows! 💯
Good information, I remember fighting peckham boys on the 12 bus. They robbed my friends Sony Ericsson 🙈 madness . But we lived to fight another day.

So much respect for posting this & being real about it! You should look into youth mentoring if not already because I feel like this younger generation might actually listen to someone who’s lived through it, your story could even save lives 🙏🏽❤️
"I remember looking down @ him" 💀
That happened to me in my late teens round East street. Had the Sony Walkman phone when it was brand new. Guy on bus goes rah let me see that... I smiled and went sure.... Handed it... The guy was so confused what just happened he handed it back 😂😂😂
