Aircraft Spotting at Portsmouth (KPSM) - 7-14-2015 (C-5 Galaxy)

- Some spotting on July 14th, 2015 at Portsmouth International at Pease. Got to see a giant C-5 Galaxy practicing some instrument approaches onto Runway 16. The C-5 is from the 439th Airlift Wing at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, MA.
Sorry for the shakiness on the second approach as I did not have any ear plugs on and it got way too loud!!! I did not realize I was standing so close and did not know they were doing a low approach where they'll apply full power so low right overhead of me!! It was very loud!!!!! lol
And lastly was a Portsmouth Air National Guard's own KC-135R Stratotanker from the 157th Air Refueling Wing based right there at Portsmouth, NH.

Hey John, I enjoyed this footage, I live two miles east of the runway on the approach path. I see them coming into land or see them taking off. I agree the C5 is unbelievably loud, when it flies over the house things vibrate! It is no fun when their still doing their touch and go's at 10:00pm bedtime... Good footage, thanks for sharing...

Oh god, those C-5 engines sound great! May I ask you what day of the week you took this on? I heard wendsdays are the best day for spotting.
+Max W I don't really remember what day of the week it was, but i'd imagine the military does a lot of in and out flights there on weekdays as well as stop in and park for the weekend to visit folks. Honestly any day is a good day to go. Surprises just happen all of the sudden and we'll never know about it.
+John's Flying Channel - John Davison (PlaneBrain1JB) Yah, went up last weekend and saw a E-3 and this weekend I went up to catch the An-125 (which is pretty much like a C-5).
