    how much did kakeru get ? He slightly slipped at the end after the double kick. Now in terms of kime I think he was better

      this is not enough to justify a lost. nishiyama is far away better even with this little slip. there are many criteria, not only balance

      I don't see any injustice here. Both are great athletes. This is probably Nihon Kokutai, Japan's "Olympics". They do have some of the best kata referees - no, KARATE masters judging. Moto has this persistent habit of lifting the rear foot sole and sliding it at every move. Nishiyama had a slight loss of balance in the Shiko-dachi but recovered immediately. What do you think deducts more? A repetitive mistake (by some ryūha perspective) or a slight loss of balance with a full recovery?
