      It depends.... But usually it's bad sign as per my experience.
      If interviewer likes you, he gives hint directly /indirectly like at end of conversation he would emphasize more on salary or how soon you can join. These are good sign.
      Abrupt ending of an interview, we will let you know/ Hr will contact you are not a good sign majority of times.

      Vrushali, there are chances that candidates may not answer to recruiters call. So the best thing is to set expectations prior hanging up the call at the initial stage. You must educate the candidate about your follow up process and interview reminder process. Once your candidate answers the call (don't make it as the 2nd call after your initial screening) ... take a tour of the project and remind once again the benefits of the role to gauge the interest and commitment level. There are many ways to handle it.       Grab your copy of "Nail The Deal" if you have not ordered one yet. It has the process to handle candidate back out and better candidate controlling. It has discussed ways of sourcing candidates that gives better results. It has revealed the techniques that can help you write emails that can grab more replies.
