- I can't tell you how proud I am of how this Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan Toxic Waste style mask turned out. I put off making it for years because there just isn't much to reference from the movie. But I finally decided to just make some educated guesses and see what happened.

Here’s a mask idea. What if Jason never needed a replacement mask or new masks? Like, he kept the mask from part 3 and he’s kept it ever since. It’s the part 3 mask, but it has all the damage from all the movies, axe wound, machete slash, gunshot, rock damage, motor boat damage, split, etc etc. if you could do that, that would be a cool idea. Could possibly be hard though

I've loved watching your mask making over the years, and dude your attention to detail and going the extra mile to make these masks 110% has always been evident and especially here. When a mask doesn't have all that much detail on how to look or a blank isn't quite up to par, you knock it out of the park! That craftsmanship has kept me coming back for every new video! We used to cruise around in the Fall on our Halloweekend trips to the 'Rusted Metal' video with all the mask making noises because my 3 year old son loved it (he was so pumped when I told him you completed the whole song), and "He's a Killer" is still part of our October roadtrip music traditions which my son still asks for it every time. Fan for life! I like these mask making videos just as much as I love the movies...maybe even more at this point! Never freakin' stop bro!

Man you always have the most creative ideas for weathering and painting. Shaping it over a stove and using adhesive for corrosion is something I would never think of. And burning the chevron? That's amazing.
It looks good out of the water but you can really see that realism in the water that really sold it for me bro. Awesome job 👍
Looks awesome! I made this one a while back and sent a pic that you included in your fan masks video. Definitely my favorite of the movie replicas to make. Your videos are what encouraged me to do my own, so keep up the good work!

I 100% agree. as an experienced mask maker nowadays,its VERY important to add extra details to make higher quality masks.When i was an amateur mask maker,my friends would ask for something as a souvenir,and id give them unsanded,minimal damaged masks.the only complaints i get from my friends when i make them masks these days is Overdetailing.i chip paint off,add unnecessary damage and texture.when you fall into the rabbit hole of quality masks,you overdetail simpler masks like Pt5.They just look to basic,so i might dirty up,add damage,scrape paint off,and even texture them
i like the addition of a vo on this, it adds a bit more professionalism to the series

If you want glass-smooth clear coat, try out 2k clear coats. They're more expensive, but it really gets a glass-like finish.
Also, have you tried a heat gun instead of the using your stove burner?
wondering the same, if the gun would be enough the bend that plastic
@@ThePHoenixX99 it would be. If a heat gun can remove paint from bare metal, one would assume that it can melt plastic.

While watching this awesome video, I got an idea - what if you used Vanta-Black, the „blackest black”, for a special hockey-mask-design?
I heard it completely absorbs light, making it look almost unreal.

Just found your channel. Didn't really know there were that many people out there making masks probably because we have a gaming channel so it never dawned on me to dive outside that. I have a video coming out on Friday (tomorrow) and I think you'll be pretty surprised what I can do with a $2 mask from Walmart that essentially looks like a frisbee with holes. That's if you feel so inclined to check it out. With 4 cameras, slick editing and the fact that I'm a chick in a fairly male dominated space I think I hold my own. Anyways, thanks for pioneering the mask nation. Maybe we can do a mask-off in the future and let the community vote! Cheers from NB Canada!

Easier way: put the part 8 Jason mask in toxic waste for about 6 to 8 minutes, it works. But if you wanna touch it, just make sure to use gloves XD great video though subbed

Xenomorph mask. Not sure how, but I think you could pull it off.
Cyberpunk/steampunk Jason.
Cute Jason mask. Like if it were a mask in a kids cartoon or something.

i dont know how far in advance you may or may not film these but if youre gonna do another spirit halloween jason mask video id kinda like to see you fix up one of the other kinds of jason masks they sell
i think in one of your spirit videos next to the more accurate one you bought was a different one with a different shape and look to it
it might be interesting to see what you can do with that or maybe even one of the crappier looking masks that are more widely available around halloween
I'm definitely going to make another one soon, but it'll be the same starting mask as before. The only other one I've seen them sell is that little oddly shaped kind that I'm not personally crazy about. Sorry, I hope you'll still watch the new installment when it's up!

Great mask again, bud. The toxic burns were starting to look like burnt sugar by the time you painted them... Maybe you should have tried that instead of the glue ;)

Otherwise you can find them on Ebay and Amazon, but BE CAREFUL. All blank masks are NOT created equal. haha
