About the epilepsy doctor: Just like every other profession and part of life, there are people just coasting through life, not really keeping up to date with their chosen profession at all, and there are others who are at the top of their game. Doctors, tax professionals, engineers, politicians.
When Richard Feynman’s first wife got sick, the doctors initially misdiagnosed her but he suspected he knew the right diagnosis. Still, he bit his tongue because they were the “experts” until eventually they themselves figured out the right diagnosis, at which point he was kicking himself for not speaking up sooner. Could’ve saved her life. Happens all the time. I feel like most doctors are only good at the basics, anything more complicated or chronic and they really have no idea. No wonder people are self-diagnosing with RUclips and Wikipedia.
Hi Sharon, thanks for posting these. Longtime follower and subscriber. Could you possibly make a video that addresses if someone is going to have a long-term capital gains event, of a couple of million dollars, from the sale of shares in a private company, for all cash this year? The cost basis for the gain is very low. These shares were NOT held in a pretax account. Is there anything that can be done to minimize those federal LTCG taxes? Asking for a friend. Would love to hear your take.
I own real estate in a 401k. Was good for a while but the lack of depreciation and slower than market growth made me rethink this. Once my tenants move out I’ll be selling it and putting these funds back into the market.
Great points
