That’s because I have a ‘17 Indian Roadmaster, I purchased new and now have over 61 thousand miles on it. Ha, I don’t know of any “Bots” with a last name like mine!
Congratulations. You're one of a few Indian riders that can appreciate your bike and the normal accessories the manufacturer offers. You don't need a catalog the size of a 1960's college dictionary to appreciate what Indian has to offer. I get so sick and tired of dudes always whining about how Indian doesn't have as many accessories as Harley Davidson has for their customers. That's because they sell their customers stripped down bikes! They inundate their customers with millions of dollars worth of junk and aftermarket companies jumped on the bandwagon providing hundreds of millions more dollars of junk. Victory/Indian has always provided their customers with complete bikes right off the showroom floor. No need to be taxed two or three times for one bike.
Ya. I love the Indian line up. They have a great selection of bikes for every rider and every taste. With the exception of the stock seat.. I was happy with my bike right off the showroom floor.
No no, everything and everything in the world has options for different things. For motorcycles there are different seats or exhausts or watever. Its not an opinion that indian has a smaller aftermarket. They easily 100% has less options. Btw the indian bikes are still missing several things. Like seat, exhaust, crash bars, saddle bags, etc and etc. Your response is just stupid
@@craigbannister7826and just like that nobody gives a fuck what you just said. Don’t get excited-You just need to know how completely worthless your train of thought is.
I have a Chieftain ghost grey dark horse 2021, absolutely love the bike, like you every time I visit the dealer near London, I end up spending money Doh!
I was planning to do this stuff at some point anyway.. but decided to get it done before I leave for Sturgis next week since I was having the bike looked over before my trip anyway. Love the bike tho. That ghost grey (I think its called stealth grey?) is pretty sweet too.
Absolutely stunning....love the look of the saddle bag lights,I'm just contemplating trading my 2020 wing tour for the new chieftain limited quartz silver... the more I watch clips like yours it steers me towards making the change.
I'm loving this bike. The stock tune is just "so-so".. but I did the high flow air-intake a few weeks ago and the revised tune really opens up the bike. I just got home yesterday from a 15 day trip to Sturgis Bike Week.. and the bike was amazing for the entire trip. Got lots of compliments on the color too. Anyway.. thanks for watching and I hope you'll consider subscribing to my channel. :)
Same. And the Indian website as well. Looking good! I’ve struggled with which intake to get and still haven’t chosen one. I keep looking at this one. You are going to have a blast at Sturgis!
I like the Oval intake a lot too. It has a "muscle car" look to it. I might have gone with it.. except I read a bunch of complaints from people saying the replacement filters were difficult to find. At least the forward intake has a washable filter.
@@602North Are you on the stock seat? The mustang seat on my bike sits be back about 2". That may be helpful. But it seems I have more clearance with the new intake. But I'm only 5'10".
I feel you on adding things, I have a Chieftain and Scout so I’m always looking for new things. Enjoy the Sturgis trip, I’m planning on going 2025,this year trying Indian bike week in Wisconsin, it’s right after Sturgis if you want to double dip.
Thx brother. But she is a money pit. Thx to you.. I'll be dumping more money into that new Custom Dynamics vent light that you put on Mrs. Finesse's Chieftain.. lol
Very common amongst motorcycle owners. Don't know what it is or why we do it but we do. It's like we need a support group to help control the urge. Temps over 55 degrees, remove those leather guards because air cooled engines need that air to cool em down.
Ya.. the guards come off most of the time. I put them on when I'm doing highway rides. Makes for a nice pocket of air at 80mph. But aside from getting a bit hot around my ankles.. the guards don't really hurt anything. If they did.. the Roadmaster wouldn't have the hard lowers.
Coming from HD I’m absolutely in love with the Indian baggers. At this point looking to purchase an Indian but having a very difficult time deciding between the chieftain and challenger.
I was torn between the Chieftain and Challenger for the better part of a year and had a tough time deciding. Ultimately, it was the color that pushed me over to the Chieftain. When I saw this color.. I knew I had to have it. But I would've been happy with either bike I'm sure.
Ya. I almost went that route.. but I like the shape and looks of the Indian lights better so I went with them instead. The Indian's quality is better too. My buddy has the Custom Dynamics lights and the adhesive failed and one of them fell off.
I think the biggest benefit to doing the air intake is that the tune re-flash is much better. I immediately noticed much better throttle response. I’m not sure if that equates to performance but the bike just feels better.
I just bought the 2023 Chieftain Dark horse. I am not changing anything on her I said. I've had the thing for 48 hours and already ordered Rinehart slip ons, Highway pegs, Rear Crash bars a taller windsheild and a backrest. Honestly it's like a disease.
Not yet. I'm thinking I might do cams.. so I'm waiting till I get them done first. No point in doing a dyno then having to do it again after the cam install. But the tune that came with the air intake is surprisingly good so I'm not in a rush.
@randomstuffwithjoe nice one... true if you're going to do cams.. I rode a Chief bobber with cams.. absolute weapon... 💯 I'm considering cams also on my 23" Elite
I ended up just ordering the Indian low-profile trunk. But after waiting more than 4 months.. I ended up canceling the order. I just got a sissy bar and luggage rack. Maybe I'll try the trunk again at another time. I needed something for my trip to sturgis and just couldn't wait any longer.
@@randomstuffwithjoe I didn’t want to pay Indians price for the trunk though I love the way it fits the bike. I ended getting one from ThePropad and they will paint it to match your bike. Not sure if they could get your color since it’s a custom color. Ended up paying about $1500 and that included inside padding and the mount! I don’t use it a lot so it serves its purpose. The color is a little off but I’ve gotten use to it.
I ordered the floorboards from the dealer when I purchased the bike. They were on backorder at the time and I had to wait like 6 months for them. Did you try your local dealer?
I love it. I can ride for an entire day without much fatigue. My wife hasn't ridden a lot on it yet.. but she says it's much more comfortable than the stock seat. She'll get plenty of seat time in the next two weeks tho.. as we're heading to Sturgis.
The bike isn’t a money pit you just have no self control. 😂
Truth! 😅

Was there a noticeable performance enhancement by just doing the air intake?
