The Lone Ranger is a fictional masked former Texas Ranger who fought outlaws in the American Old West with his Native American friend, Tonto. The character has been called an enduring icon of American culture.
The Lone Ranger was named so because the character is the only survivor of a group of six Texas Rangers, rather than because he works alone (as he is usually accompanied by his Native American companion Tonto). While details differ, the basic story of the origin of the Lone Ranger is the same in most versions of the franchise. A posse of six members of the Texas Ranger Division pursuing a band of outlaws led by Bartholomew "Butch" Cavendish is betrayed by a civilian guide named Collins and is ambushed in a canyon named Bryant's Gap. Later, an Indian named Tonto stumbles onto the scene and discovers one ranger is barely alive, and he nurses the man back to health. In some versions, Tonto recognizes the lone survivor as the man who saved his life when they both were children. According to the television series, when Tonto left the Reid place with a horse given him by the boy Reid, he gave Reid a ring and the name Kemo Sabe, which he said means "trusty scout". Among the Rangers killed was the survivor's older brother, Daniel Reid, who was a captain in the Texas Rangers and the leader of the ambushed group. To conceal his identity and honor his fallen brother, Reid fashions a black domino mask from the material of his brother's vest. To aid in the deception, Tonto digs a sixth grave and places at its head a cross bearing Reid's name so that Cavendish and his gang would believe that all of the Rangers had been killed.
In many versions Reid continues fighting for justice as The Lone Ranger even after the Cavendish gang is captured.
My favorite show as a kid and I still love it now.
I watched this show as a kid. I watch it sometimes as an adult. I realize now that this show had a moral lesson for almost every episode.
Even when watching this as a kid, I always thought Jay was a better
an actor never received the credit he deserved
His role kept him from greatness.
The Lone Ranger was my dad favorite t.v. show of all times. I heard it was Chuck Norris favorite show also. My Dad was in the Battle of the Buldge during WW2. He died on Nov.26th 2011.
Respect due
I don't know about Chuck Norris watching The lone ranger but according to the show his partner Jimmy trivette was a avid lone ranger fan and that was his reason for wanting to be a Texas ranger 🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎

The great Slim Pickens..when he was actually slim..LOL..!!
The great marble man, when he still had his marbles. I lost mine a long time ago. 😉
Great show
An advert plays every few minutes, is disruptive.. also in the advert a swear word is not said but clearly suggested, just seems unnecessary tailed onto a family movie like the Lone Ranger.
I noticed that a lot of old television shows and movies are coming on RUclips. And many of them I have not been on before some of them are very clear and are obviously good quality prints with very good audio. And of course they are loaded with commercials. I wonder if that That offer that you pay for RUclips and you get less commercials really works? Does anyone know what the deal is truly about? Do you get fewer commercials or do you end up without any commercials? That’s very important to me because I don’t want to pay and then find out that instead of 20 commercials I’ll get 10. I don’t have time to sit around and watch TV commercials in a half an hour. Somebody let me know. Because there’s so many things on RUclips now I wouldn’t mind getting rid of Netflix and playing RUclips so I don’t have to watch the commercials!
I don’t see any commercials.
I bought a RUclips premium subscription and now have 0 adverts. (I pay for Netflix too and didn't know they had commercials, so that was interesting to hear.) Have a great day! 🙂
Thanks
Did the Lone Ranger get his gun back from Buck?
No, he went down to Target and bought another one.
At 5 minutes...the bad guy is shooting both of his "6 shooters" into the air. I counted 13 shots, and then just a few minutes later fires another 2 shots ( and I doubt that he reloaded in those few minutes....too busy ). Oh well, don't ya love Hollywood..they have the best "6 shooters" in the world..LOL..!!
LOL! Yes, you got it...Clayton Moore, (The Lone Ranger), addresses that in his book. That irritated him too!! :D
There is Taggart but where is Hedley Lamarr? 😂
If those people in the mine would have only stopped the fire out right as soon as they threw the branches down, it would have been easy to put that fire out by stomping it out.
13:14 "The fool has agreed to do it...I mean...."
Gosto muito do zorro, mais eu não sai inglês ,será que dá fazer a dublagem do dos filmes.

Where on earth did these color TV episodes come from? I thought I'd seen all of the Lone Ranger shows. By the way Slim Pickens stole the show in the 1966 Western "An Eye for an Eye" with Robert Lansing. It's on RUclips. I just checked.
Clayton Moore was the embodiment of the lone ranger. No other actor could take his place.
They had color episodes in the later years.
O ZORRO DE MINHA INFÂNCIA!!! O ANO DE PRODUÇÃO DO FILME É MUITO IMPORTANTE!!!

My grandfather told me he got in a fight with the actor who played the loan ranger before he became known and when he was drunk. And he told me he beat the crap out of him.
The "loan" ranger---did he get money from him?? It's LONE Ranger...and what he did before his fame is his business .It's what he did with that fame is up to him. And from what I understand he did very well. What did that relative of yours do!?????🔔🔔
Just an old swine's brag; nothing to back it up.
@@janeiwasduncan8463 Stayed home and became an armchair test pilot for his new Lazyboy recliner, while watching the Lone Ranger and Tonto get it on in the original version of Brokeback Mountain. Tonto took it like a champ!
