Thought I'd have a go at this before going to bed last night, big mistake! I got to the transpose part and it just sounded all wrong. It was only this morning I realised I had the clock set to x16 instead of /16! Great tutorial Omri. Thank you.
@@OmriCohen-Music Glad I found your vid. As I am coming from the DAW and making more melodic and rythmic (structured?) peaces than the "pure" modular people, I am always happy when I find some inspirations like this vid. I played a lot with the transpose function of quantum and tried to figure out to automaticly recognice when to switch between major and minor for a given key. But this always ended in a big collection of const and comparators modules and i believe that this is not the intention of vcv rack. Anyhow, you are an inspiration for many people and your vids helped me a lot to come into the modular world. Thanks a lot for your effort.
Honestly it makes just about everything sound absolutely lush and spacious! It is my favorite reverb to insert in my chain! Thank you for all of the time that you put into your helping wayward souls learn modular synthesis! BTW your music is phenomenal! 😍 super cool blend of marimba & flute & granular!
Oh Men As alyways tons of inspirations in your video Omri. I'm waiting for time when i can try something with Plateau again. Very nice explanation of functionality Plateau. Cool very useful.
Hey Omri, Your videos on VCV are great and always a joy to watch. I learned a lot, thanks! Maybe you can help me out: I am looking for a VCV equivalent of Malekko's Gate Delay. Do you know a module which can do that? DGate by Bogaudio is a Gate Delay, but not as funky as Malekko's take =) Thanks, cheers, T.
Again another amazing video, thank you. I learn so much from you, I was wondering do have any plans on doing videos of Amalgamated Harmonics modules? Once again thank you for all you do for the VCV community.
This is a really lovely module. I seem to remember that it needs a fair amount of CPU, unfortunately, and I think my system would struggle with your final patch. It sounded excellent though! I hadn't realised Plateau could do those wonderful metallic sounds - they remind me of hitting saucepans when filling them with water :)
So is Valley Plateau a virtual plugin only, or is there an actual hardware Eurorack module available and if so where can one purchase it? I've looked and I can't find one anywhere.
@@OmriCohen-Music I am sending it directly to the mixer. My level is about 60%. With a Sine wave and specifically Saw wave the distortion is super heavy even at low volumes

Great tutorial Omri. Thank you.
I'm happy it worked out at the end :) Cheers!
This is how the legend was born.
26:02 hey, no, why are you stopping :o
Thank you for this video. I see Plateau used in many patches, so it is very helpful to better understand its usage.
Thanks, Sean! Yeah, it's very popular and very unique...
That change at 13:29 makes me feel the sane as the beat change in Frank Ocean's Nights
Still hits
thx Omri, good to know the ins and outs of Plateau,
Thanks, Wim! It is one hell of a module...
i love that seq switch with the 7th in it. thanks for sharing!
Glad you like it!

Plateau works wonders when used as an audio source for Clouds / Texture Synthesizer :)
Crazy stuff!

Hey, wow, thanks so much!
Incredible video, and beautiful patch!
Thank you!
You had a massive fireworks type of sound going there without diffusion. Very nice tut.
Yeah, the sonic possibilities are vast with Plateau. Thanks!
Thanks
Thanks again so much!
Fabulous, as always, Omri!
Thanks so much, Maurice!

Thanks so much, my friend! Get better soon!
Beautiful sounds, well done !
Thanks so much!
Excellent tutorial and patch!!!! i´m using plateu as bus effects in Ableton using the bridge, works perfect
Thanks! Yeah, it's so good... really one of the best I've heard!
Absolutely incredible
Plateau is life...
great one as always
Thanks, mate!
Thank you for this. Now I can explore this module without just using it with default settings.
Glad I could help!
I constantly use Ikea stuff in my modular systems, for example my desk :) --- My head didn't stop bouncing, so it was a GOOOOOOOOD video as always :)
Cheers!
Exellent Tutorial as always, Thnx!!
Thank you!
amazing tutorials! thank you very much!
I'm really happy you enjoy my work, thanks so much!

Thanks so much! Yeah, the Malekko's one look pretty awesome, but I'm afraid that I still didn't encounter something like this in rack...
@@OmriCohen-Music Thanks for your answer! I would not be surprised if we see a module like this in VCV anytime soon =)
It looks really good, so I hope there will be something like this in rack soon :)
great tutorial... learned a lot... thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
New subscriber and fan. Thank you, Omri.
Hey that's great! Welcome aboard and thanks :)
beautiful Omri
Thank you!
Thanks!🙏🏽

Thanks so much, Brent! Yeah, the Amalgamated modules are on my list :)

Yeah, it can get quite CPU hungry but it's worth every bit...
oh ya, sounds so goood!
Cheers!
I'm pumped for some Behringer Neutron videos! I'm picking one up when my internship ends in a few weeks.
Hey, congrats man! I will try to upload something soon :)
on top of your game rifht of the gate!
cheers!
I saw you got a neutron. will we see patches with it as well? (:
Thanks so much! Yeah, already recorded the first patch :) I'm still thinking on how to integrate it with my vcv videos...
Yes Omri!!! Thanks for sequencing my stoned afternoon 🙏
Hey man, great! Glad you liked it :)
love drifting off to him building patches after work after a dynavap or 4...
awesome tutorial
Thanks so much!
Thank You.
Cheers!
There is in a physical modular world?
So is Valley Plateau a virtual plugin only, or is there an actual hardware Eurorack module available and if so where can one purchase it? I've looked and I can't find one anywhere.
Yeah, Plateau is only virtual...
Thank you for this. But with higher reverb I am getting a kind of dirty distortion in my headphones. What could be the problem?
Well, this reverb is quite hot so you have to watch your levels. Where are you sending it to? Can you lower the level?
@@OmriCohen-Music I am sending it directly to the mixer. My level is about 60%. With a Sine wave and specifically Saw wave the distortion is super heavy even at low volumes
Is there a limit to the number of modules you can download in VCV rack? I can see this reverb in my plugin folder but I can't see it in Rack itself.
No, there's no limit... Do you have the latest version of VCV? How did you install the plugin?
What is the revervation module in Eurorack that comes closest to Plateau please?
I'm not so sure there is one but the new Strymon looks promising.
increadible, tnx very much!
Thank you!
please, give a track at start in video
why don't I get any sound when I load the patch?
Just to make sure, did you unmute the mixer? And did you choose your interface on the audio module?
Does Quantum have some equivalent in the real world (a real Eurorack module)?
Have a look at those two - addacsystem.com/product/addac200-series/addac207

Is there any hardware module as good as plateau?
Well, I hear only good things about the Erbe Verb, and I have the Desomodus Versio for a few weeks now, and it's a super nice reverb.
Dear Omri, thanks for the video. After 12" I lost track of what you were doing. Too much information at once.
Yeah, Plateau is full of features, true... Maybe I will revisit it in the future.
👍❤️
Thanks, Lars!
now I understand why everyone use plateau :)
