I was just about to say that! LMAO you have totally butchered the pronunciation of the names of these phenomenal places. So sad that these places are abandoned but legit reasons why. I’ve been to a lot of these places way back when and it was nice that you did a lot of research on them. Thank you for that.

No disrespect but can you advise that Haiku stairs is illegal to hike and comes with high fines. A lot of hikers treat our neighbors with disrespect and yes I live near the stairs. Hikers park their cars blocking driveways, leaving trash, using the bathroom on peoples house (gross!), destroying gardens as they trespass on private property. They also cause a lot of noise when residence are trying to sleep. Also hikers get stuck at the top which now involves our emergency rescue team. So please show some aloha hike another area. There are more areas to hike on the island. 🤙🏼 mahalo

Ruins are just a dated living or warship area not necessarily an abandoned area more than it was just outdated
@@mikey2spliffs27 Do you not know this history of these ruins?? I believe it was the summer palace of King Kamehameha III. It's where he went to try to strategize when the United States was coming in to take Hawaii. After the United States took over, a monarch was no longer able to rule so many places like this were abandoned. The main palace is now a tourist attraction and is kept up but this summer palace is hidden in the forest. Not easy to find unless you know where to go.
