First off, GORGEOUS view outside your studio window! 💜 2nd, AMAZING painting :) one of those you can just relax and have fun with it :) this one would really fit our hallway REALLY well, we have a lot of reds there and muted lights, so this color scheme and the moon....I NEED to paint this one :D 💜 it´s just so perfect! I´ve been thinking about what to hang in there for years, but nothing ever felt right, until now! (and we´ve been living here for 11 years so, it´s about freakin time! lol I´m just so picky) Thank you for sharing, as always, I appreciate it :) this one a little bit extra since I finally know now what I needed to complete my hallway!!! Have a wonderful and creative week! 💜 :)
Hi Deanie, Yes, I'm home and recovering nicely! I'll be in front of the easel in no time... stay tuned. Thanks for checking in. Have fun painting, Michelle
Glad you like it. Maybe at some point a bunch of butterflies will come off of my brush onto the canvas at once... but I do have a couple of videos already that show how to paint butterflies. Hi Sheila, For these videos I am using a thin bodied student grade paint. I sell small sample sizes of it on my website at the link below. The brand is Blickrylics sold by Blick Materials. Have fun painting! berkshirepaintandsip.squarespace.com/paint-supplies
Hi Kelly, A primed canvas means that the raw canvas has been treated to allow for paint to adhere to it. Most canvasses that you buy from the store these days, or online, are already primed when you buy them. If you are purchasing raw canvas, than you will want to put a layer of primer on the side that you want to paint. There is a product called Gesso, that is specifically designed to be a good adhesion primer for art canvasses. If the canvas you have is white on one side and tan on the other side, than it is already pre-primed, if it is tan on both sides than it is raw. I hope this info helps. Have fun painting! ~Michelle
Hi, I get it from Blick Materials. If you don't have access to them, I sell small sample sizes of it on my website at the link below. Think of a red fire truck color... very vibrant, no pink hue to it... that will get you a fire red color. Good Luck, Michelle berkshirepaintandsip.squarespace.com/paint-supplies
Hi Michelle I noticed you use alot of fire red. I cant seem to find it in my local art stores. Is there another name for that or should I just order it on line? Also the color oxide green
Lisa, I don’t use the exact colors either because I use Liquitex Basics. I use cad red medium hue for the red, or cad red deep hue, for green I use Hooker’s green hue. Hope that helps.
@@missytamik9209 thank you I beat myself up sometimes because I love the colors you use because they are so simple. And they come out so perfect. Thank you for your response and have a wonderful Thanksgiving
She also sells the paint she uses at her Berkshire Paint and Sip, the link is in the description. She’ll mail it to you in the US in 1oz or 2oz containers. And brushes. Happy Thanksgiving🍁 🦃 to you also
@@missytamik9209 I have so many paint colors. I just went wild with everything when I started painting and I dont even use half the colors I have. You can do so much with just a few colors by using them together on one brush. Its amazing
Hi Lisa, Missy is leading you in the right direction, but if you don't have the colors that she mentioned, a description of the fire red is that it is very vibrant with very little pink in it (think of a fire truck color), as for the green oxide, it is an earthy shade of green with a lot of brown in it, very little blue. I hope this helps. Have fun painting!
Hi Anita, I try to pick up very little paint on my brush, but sometimes it does get a little overloaded and when that happens I will wash my brush and start from scratch. Have fun painting!
🤣😅😂 Michelle is a Paint and Sip owner/instructor. Berkshire Paint and Sip. I ❤️ that she’s doing it this way. It breaks up the steps too. With this pandemic, I miss going to them. I’m learning a lot about wines🤣. My only question Michelle, are all your wines you sip chilled? Which wines wouldn’t you put ice in?
Hi guys, Thanks for explaining that I own a Paint and Sip company where people come to an in person class for a social experience... and yes they can "sip" anything that they would like.
Hi Missy, I won't put ice in the "good stuff". I chill all whites and some reds, but as for the ice, if it's a cheap bottle of $10 wine... it gets iced... $20 is a maybe ice... $30 and up... definitely no ice! This is my official ice to wine formula...lol!
