Walking the Raccoon River Valley Trail from Waukee to Perry-19 miles

The Raccoon River Valley bike trail is an 89-mile trail in central Iowa. It can’t be walked in one day so today I walked the portion from Waukee to Perry, which was 19 miles. This was the final leg of the Raccoon River Valley Trail to complete. It took me four different walks to complete the entire trail, but I am now finished. It was a beautiful day for January 17 - almost 45° even though it was a little windy. I would also like to encourage you to become a member of the rails to trails Conservancy that works hard to build and maintain these wonderful trails. I plan to walk all of the rails to trails bike trails in Iowa this year-2025.
