70% camera shots of Lo and the designer's faces
30% shots of the actual apartment
I couldn't get a feel for the space because the clips were too separate.
Neither could i actually see how the apartment and decor pieces came together or got a feel for how functional it was. Living rm was decorated but that kitchen seemed unusable for anyone who wants to prepare something aside from a glass of water. The bedroom also seemed tiny. Maybe thats why that they didn't show much from a wider angle.
Whats wrong with Ikea furniture?
It's cheap imported crap from China.
hinnyQ I though the same!! Why would you bash IKEA like that? They have alot of great thing, that last a long time, and they are affordable.
hinnyQ it's not high quality. Nothing is wrong with it, but Lo didn't want that - so they changed it to a higher quality. No big deal.
hinnyQ Label snobs...I just never care much for them: whether it is about homes or fashions. Ikea is fine if it suits your needs....and there are many ways to personalize a less expensive piece of furniture. Sometimes a more expensive piece fits the bill....sometimes a thrift store find (perhaps "upscaled") makes the room!! Use what is right for you.....and seek items that are both beautiful and durable.
***** I agree. It's not about the price or the label: it's the quality of the particular item at a price that fits your needs
Looks so glamorous. Love the details and the bones of the space.
Such a lovely apartment!
NYC apartment GOALS! It's eclectic and fresh.
Would love to see the mood boards and how they translated into the finished product on The Lo Down. :)
Oh my gosh Lo its beautiful! I am in LOVE with your purple couch, so cute! A gorgeous apartment in NY has to be every girls dream!
Where was the tour Lo promised on ber channel? This was more an interview and commercial.
I love the apartment! I don't know why, but I freaking adore brick walls haha!
Love your modern, yet classic style!
Gorgeous, you have the most amazing style Justin!
loving the pops of white marble! I want that in my home one day!
Her apartment looks beautiful x
Love the apartment!
I LOVE Lo!
Hope to live in NYC one day
Such a cute space! Looking to move soon. Can you do my space like that?!
OMG, thats exactly the kind of style I want - a nice mix of eclectic and modern!!
Can I move in with you?!
(PS - NEED your couch!!)
Where do you keep your books?
Looks nice
Your Sooo Dreamy Lo💕 I LOVE YOU! 😚💞💞💞
That's a beautiful apartment! I spy the Lulu & Georgia and Jonathan Adler =D
Love it
Great space. love your sense of style... feedback. I am not sure I would love yellow especially with a red fridge. I actually like the blue. Re the blue chairs.. they seem really formal. I would probably swap them out. One tiny negative comment. Its a great fridge but with all the stuff on it. cannot see it. And is there a way your handyman can change the direction the door opens. .. it would be easier to use.
So...when can I move in?
Who helped furnish her apartment?
What a jip! Where's the actual tour? You know, where you go room by room describing what it is, how you use it, why you chose the certain style and decor. This was more of a reel tape for the goofy designer.
Nice video I enjoyed watching this, Lo is a very attractive lady
This could be ANYONE'S apartment...she didn't even do it herself.
How cute that lo still uses teenage upspeak.
19 kenmare street apartment 5 if you want to go see it for yourself
+Elyse Lightner this is my old apartment and i did NOT have ikea furniture. RUDE
Is it a rental or does she own it?
Took more than half the video to figure out if they were before or after shots of apartment. Poorly made video.
And... wtf is up with those horribly fitting jeans??
That sink..... lol
Doll what happen to you!?
Only know her fromthe hills and she keeps talking the same way
Why asking for help when you can do it your self? What's wrong with Ikea? Not everybody has the money hire help like this man.
marmvb mulder Nothing wrong if that's what you can afford but sounds to me like she's over the press board stuff that comes in a box that you have to put together, save your money (not you in particular) and just buy a better piece. Also as far as help goes, I think she works with different brands like refinery29 - she puts their names out there and they help with finding furniture pieces for her ( its like you scratch my back ill scratch yours)
boring and very "ABC family series" style
Nice appartement! Love it, but girl...juvederm !
The whole Ikea comment made me go away from this page.
Not a pleasant look at her apartment.
Lo, the home tour video collaboration with Refinery 29 was awful. Justin from Homepolish NYC has a very nasally high pitched voice that was becoming annoying throughout the video. During the entire video, I was thinking, "Thanks, Justin. When is Lo going to start talking?". Furthermore, Justin came off as pretentious and condescending -- that wasn't necessary.
It would have been nice to see a real apartment tour video where Refinery 29 actually interviewed you in depth about the apartment transformation. Instead, the audience viewed a rushed, and flashy, two minute video filled with a bunch of vague design statements from Justin and yourself. The fact audience members had to wait a few months to view a poor quality video is ridiculous.
Personally, I don't care whether or not a video is sponsored. There's nothing wrong with negotiating business deals, using retail affiliation links and gaining collaboration opportunities with your ideas and videos. Content creators of all levels big or small have the right to monetize their efforts. The Internet provides many opportunities to make an income -- and this is just one of them.
However, I would just like to see more videos without an "infomercial", "acting" or "salesperson" element. When people get upset about sponsored videos here on RUclips, it's usually because viewers feel the videos in question are disingenuous and lack true personality and sincerity. Overall, I like your videos but a few improvement could be made. Hey, maybe you can do a "Take Two" Apartment Tour on your channel?
