Thank you! Had to replace the driver side mirror on my '98 S10, followed your instructions for removing the door panel, and had the job done in less than half an hour. I'm a complete novice. I used the paper clip method for the window handle, took a few tries and expletives, but once I got on the handle clip, it came right off. Awesome video!
@jordan22828 If they are just turning try pulling on the panel in the area of the screw to help them come out. If you have stripped the head then drill off the head to remove the panel. Then use pliers or vise-grips to remove the rest of the screw.
Just watched this to repair the lock mechanism on the inside of the door. My daughter had jambed the key in so hard, it pushed the mechanism into the door. I was able to fix it and didn't tear the door panel up. Thanks!
@abarnes0330 You could try Craigs List or possibly your local junk yard. If you need some of the hard to find plastic door panel retainers, your local dealer could probably get them for you. Hope this helps you out.

I found it easier just to use a large flat head screwdriver and flashlight...it was dark to locate the plastic screw doo-hickeys and pry against metal near them to get the panel loose. I started at the top of both sides and worked my way towards the bottom....Now to figure out if it's the motor, switch, regulator (mechanical) or relay, wiring etc.... gone bad as to why window isn't working....
Thanks! This helped me greatly when my window came out of its track on my 2001 S10 and wouldn't raise or lower anymore. It'll likely happen again, and then I'll know what to do if it does!

@TheBpw6788 Your 93 S10 is a different platform, however most of the basics should be the same. You will need to remove all of the trim pieces and then pry the door panel away from the door. There should be some push pin clips on the backside of the door panel that hold it to the door. Hope this helps. 1aauto.com
Oh and the switches for power windows, locks etc... Use two screwdrivers, the lock switch was difficult. Pry tabs inward with one screwdriver and pry up gently on bottom of connectors with other screwdriver...

Junkyards sell them. When it comes to plastics you're not going to find them new for any older vehicle unless there's a high demand for it. Like the center console arm rest. I'm surprised they're even being made brand new but that only includes the console that's on the floor. The one that's attached to the driver seat you won't find new

Hi i have a 99 gmc jimmy. The inside door handle is pulling away from the door so i cant shut it with the handle. How do i fix that? It's pulling the panel itself away from the metal part of the door.

i need a door panel ...the idiot that installed my door speakers broke my door armrest handle .. ( the plastic where the two screws hold the door panel) and screwed up several of the plastic clips..ive searched ebay...no one has these door panels in my year and color...is there another way to possibly repair these ???

A wrag ir sock can also be used to remove the window crank handle
if you magnetize your nut drivers it makes it easier to replace small bolts and screws.
