    I like the style of playing after the 10:00 mark. What lesson would you suggest for that style? I can play a simple 3 chord arrangement(GMaj7 shape,Cm7#5, minor 7th) I just move them around the neck. I mostly use the G & A scale because it works the easyist with those chords.

  • @andypopescu4500
    @andypopescu4500 5 лет назад +1

    Awesome lesson! What scale do you use to find your notes? Or how do you choose what notes go in between your guide-tones?

    • @JakeReichbart
      @JakeReichbart  5 лет назад +2

      Nothing special, if I’m in a general tonal center of the key of C for example I will use the scale of C and then just use whatever chromatic notes.

    In a jazz blues on the one chord in G for example I like to play arpeggios from the minor fifth of G. So in this case dm9 or dm6 arpeggios. On the 4 chord (c9) I choose to play G minor arpeggios and ideas. Then on the 5 chord, I play varations of a minor arpeggios, like an am 9. These give me very jazzy, bebop likes to play with. What do you think of this?

    • @JakeReichbart

    • @JEZFLYNN
      @JEZFLYNN 6 лет назад +1

      steal was perhaps the wrong word... purchase the full lesson ? perhaps that could happen, I would have to add 'purchase a guitar lesson online' to my bucket list, not being a natural jazzer means that only certain elements are valuable to me. I'd much rather trade or barter though.

    Would you mind if I ask what gauge of string you use? Your tone is what I'm aiming for. I already know how to set up my amp for jazz tone.Do you prefer tube or solid state amp?
