Strangely, I haven't pulled the Lilo making a wish yet. I was lucky enough to pull an enchanted from a Trove though.
The fact that so many regular rares and super rares are this expensive shows how little stock truly is out there right now. Pulling a rare Lilo or Kuzco and making more money than the price of the pack is not normal. I've been selling most of my expensive cards right now ahead of any reprint that will bring these values more in line with what they should be.
The fact that this first set of Lorcana is making decks modern Yugioh pricing of high is insane
I’m super glad one of my packs has $65 value. Between 2 decks and 6 packs (with $25 off for existing store credit), that one pack pays off my entire expenditure so far

Where does everyone go to sell for the most part?
We bought the few packs we could find (16 packs) and got 2 maleficent, 1 surfer stitch and one of the Elsa from this list but as a shiny (not enchanted). Also got the giant tinkerbell and the 1 cost lilo. Was disappointed on the day because most of our shiny cards were commons but now feel quite happy. Thanks for the video!!

That's mad pricing. The market prices are far far lower. Floodborn Tink goes for around £10, same as Lilio and a whole new world. Micky is about £15 and Belle is about £18. This is what they are selling at, in English.
These prices are absurd.
I'm of the opinion than if Rapunzel had an enchanted, it would EASILY be at a higher price than Elsa. Maybe multiple times so.

Sick so if you buy all the cards for a top deck you need to pay like 250-500$.
And if you want to have fun at playing and want to play like the 4 top decks you'll be paying like 1000-2000$. Or get all cards 4 times for that amount.
If you buy displays instead you won't be guranteed to get all the cards you need.
So what I never liked about card games (Magic, Pokemon, One Piece) is that only rich people can afford to play the full game - beeing able to try all the funny deckformulas.
Normal people at most can get all the cards for 1 deck or even need to decide - So either get single cards or buy boosters - but pack opening is also funny but if you want a good deck you need to decide between them.
So normal earning people or the children are actually never getting into full touch of TCGs.
Also after 3 months a new expansion releases and that for all TCGs.
With that comes that the rich people will have the money for the good decks and will be winning more often tournaments - I bet like 95% will be won by the rich people who already have enough and even get more.
Its really tough then to win a tournament and to get the promo cards of the tournaments.
So it's better to just buy the single promo cards on card market which is really stupid for normal earners who also want to have fun playing - but they won't have the best competetive decks.
And this is also for Magic and Pokemon, -One Piece etc.
And even how could you afford playing 2 TCGs or more because atm they are really funny and exciting.
I was thinking about if I really like these games I would start printing fake cards to be able to play competetive in tournaments and have some fun or be able to compete with other decks at least😄😄😄

Actually incorrect. The average person can make an OP, Magic or Pokémon deck. Even vanguard and Yugioh. Will they have to make budget cuts? Of course but that’s how money works. You can still play even competitively but your budget dictates how much you can choose from but you choose your budget. Also a normal person and even children can play high competitive. Once again it’s based around your budget and how good you play. Of course an IRL game is gonna cost money, complaining about that is just dumb. Also you can’t play proxies in tourneys. They’re fakes, it’s unfair to the people who actually brought or pulled their real cards. If you look at majority of competition winners it’s just randos probably working construction, not rich snobs. These people know how to allocate their money where they can enjoy their card game to the fullest while not having to be part of the 1% like you think
Well they can choose between those games but they won't be able to play competitive tournaments in more than 1 TCG.
And will not have the best deck then.
I mean the top 4 best decks in Lorcana cost about 250-500$ each.
In One Piece they cost about 100-150$ and this is only for 1 deck.
So almost at all and because if a new set comes out
- you maybe don't need all cards from new sets maybe like 10-20% of the new cards -
you could if you huslte hard can play 1 good deck in 2 TCGs like in Lorcana and One Piece. But you also don't always want to be playing 1 deck formula . You want to try out 3-4 or even want to play all formulas.
Of course you can play the game but not with the complete formula of a deck then and also not in competetive tournaments if you want to do that in more than one TCG.
You also want to play other TCGs - they all make fun.
Also you need to decide between collecting and playing. Because you don't need all cards for playing but you need duplicates and for collecting you don't need duplicates but you want all cards. So either get an enchanted Elsa for the map or 4 Rapunzels for your deck.
And then if you have other hobbys in life like you don't want to be only playing TCGs in your life you also will go out with friends or buy clothes, make sports or get some stuff for your car etc. it will be really hard to be playing enough of a TCG or two.
Maybe if you omega hustle you could be doing all that or win the lottery.
Meanwhile the (medium-)rich can enjoy everything.

I will you sell you mine. I got to Target right when the Excell Brands guy was stocking the shelves. I don't play I just grabbed some packs because this one guy grabbed the whole row. Then he asked me if I wanted a couple. Then when he put more up I grabbed some.

I wish we could leave the “valuable” mentality behind and focus on this being a game. But I know this is not how this hobby works 🤷♂️
