Seeing as how big she is now and how much people are obsessed with her and the lengths people go to get a reaction out of her… then yeah, this is what she needs to do.
Yep she knows she has the most followers on both YT and Twitter among Hololive and possibly in the entire vTuber world so anything that comes out from her mouth or her account can send shockwaves very quickly. But yeah it is a big thing when the smol shork actually replies on Twitter coz you don't see her commenting at all unless something really good excites her.
I uninstalled Twitter from my phone, and the boost to my mood was immediately noticeable. I can totally agree with Gura's decision.
Just did the same recently. Twitter Hololive community almost made me hate Hololive.
@@SquareRoot_ HEre is the thing I noticed is that Twitter Hololive community are the same peoplein GEnshin Impact Community that are thesame people in (insert anime fandom on Twitter here). It's the same cycle of people and they only represent a very small percentage of the fandom. A good example of cycled fandoms is My Hero Academia Twitter Community seemed to move over to the Genshin Impact community.Twitter is just a megaphone that the only thing that comes out of it is mind drivel. A least reedit, for all it's worth, has a more decent community
She's right. Even if you delete it, thousands of eyes have seen it. I remember her old Bathbomb tweet, deleted in seconds but I still caught the photo lol

Honestly I think it's very understandable from both a professional and more personal point of view.
She does have the most followers/subs of any Vtuber and I think she is well aware of the negative aspects of being popular. Many people love and support her, but the more popular you get, the more antis, jealous and generally just miserable people will wait for her to say anything "controversial" and jump at that opportunity or try to get a reaction out of her. The less she says the better.
And from a more personal perspective, social media just isn't for everyone. It can be fun sometimes and helps you to stay in touch with people around the world, but Twitter especially is also very toxic and filled to the brim with people spending their days getting offended by anything and anyone and trying to cancel everything or anyone, or win useless arguments. You don't miss anything if you don't spend every sec on there.
She keeps us updated about important stuff concerning her streaming activities, everything else is none of our or anyone's business.

not big on doing almost any kinda update really, her membership is kinda not worth it from a value aspect, she does half what a lot of other members post or stream. like my buddy has Ina and Kiara while I have Gura and Mumei, and ina and Kiara post literally double what gura and mumei post. like i said this is from a value aspect i love gura and mumei and i love pretty much all the girls. i wish i could afford to sub to more of them. like Ina and Bae would be my next 2 if i could.
She's giving twitter too much credit. TO be on the fair side. Western Twitter has the majority filled with toxic users. If you look at Japan Twitter the ratio is the opposite of Western Twitter. I respect Gura's decision to stay away from social media. It's hard to find a decent platform now aday that isn't just full of toxicity. I remember bulletin boards (BBS) back in the day. They were better navigable in the stress factor compared to social media which is in your face, with instant notification. BBS's and message boards need to make a comeback.
What gura said is true tho, there will always be bad eggs in websites and Apps, like for example, Twitter, it's a good app that was just ruined due to people being so oversensitive that just accidentally misgendering someone can get you cancelled
Which then ruined the public image of Twitter making it now hated even when there are still good tweeters, my favourite one is Keen
