Thanks for some great hacks. I'm definitely looking for the seat socks. We use a battery powered in-door motion sensing light under the bathroom cabinet for after hours bathroom use. Change the batteries once a season and they are good to go.
I’m new to your channel and this is the first time I’ve meet Jason, what a great guy! I have 2 grandsons, 14, and 11, and hands down they’re my favorite people, I’d give anything to be able to travel with them. One of these days, that’s why I watch your channel, so I’m ready when the time comes!
Izzy and MJ and Jason! Great job! Love how you showed how all the issues how you fixed them. I love the pantry the clips that make sure the drawer stay closed. I love the lights on the bottom so you can see when you get up in the middle of the night and walk. Love the plug adapter too. Everything was great. Thank you all. All this will help in the long run. See you all soon. Have fun camping.
When I purchased my Newmar, I was told that those slide roller protectors come standard with every coach when they are initially shipped. It turns out the dealers quite often just throw them away. So when I purchased my coach I requested that they give me the slide roller protectors and they gave them to me for free.
I use those thin flexible vinyl cutting boards under slides. Very cheap and small to store. We had some floor marks when we bought our MH so we just protect where the wear marks are from vibrations when driving.
For the door latch the produce you need is UHMW tape by APT, it's a hard "plastic tape) thats slippery you can get it on Amazon in the width you need just wrap the post part of the latch and replace it as needed which is not often.
I use the electrical tape wrap hack. Works great. Had to rewrap it only once last season. Keep a partial roll in the outside compartment left of the door so I always have it.
Outstanding hacks! We tossed the RV mattress being a used Class A, then went to Costco with with our coach to purchase a great Beauty Rest regular queen mattress on the way to our first campout. The comfort was worth the tight fit walking around the bed with a standard mattress rather than an RV queen.
I had missed a few of your videos so I caught up today and of course every single one of them is awesome You all Keep your videos very interesting very entertaining very informational thank you for all of the effort you put into them

Good job guys! In our used RV that we bought, the slides have ruined the carpet with the rollers. We will be replacing all the flooring with vinyl planks, those floor protectors will be used from day one! Thanks for the suggestion.
Great hacks! Definitely using them, I also have friends that had issues with the drawers opening on the road so I will share this with them also! Thank you for your Awesome Chanel content!! Hugs to you guys!! 👏🏼🤗
Door idea: Depending on the diameter of the door closure shaft you may be able to use a leaf spring eye brushing usually 9/16 ID they are usually 1/16 thickness. Cut it to length then cut down the side to slip it around post.
Best hack I have come up with is for things I need to remember BEFORE driving away. I took some 3x5 index cards, punched a hole in them and fed a long rubber band through the hole. I can then attach this to my steering wheel. I use one index card for each thing I need to remember (fortunately there are only 4 critical ones) and do not remove them from the steering wheel until I have done the task. These include : 1. Lowering the Antenna. 2)Installing slide locks, and 3)moving water dispenser off of counter. 4)Ensuring canopy is latched/locked.
Another excellent informative video with great 👍 ideas 💡 for the RV or some work at home 🏡 as well... the chair socks, drawer latches on cabinets and the LED lights are my immediate favorites... Thanks 🙏🏻 for sharing... God Bless you and yours
We definitely need a mattress topper! But…. We have an RV Queen, which is shorter. Recommendations??? Thank you so very much for all this valuable information! Retired, first time RV-ers, who just graduated from tent camping!! 😉
Good hacks. I think we all have found little things like that to make our experience better. You would think they could put an hard plastic sleeve over the latch to reduce the noise, wear and tear, and be a little more permanent solution. Thanks for sharing
Hey guys in regards to the LED strip lights we put them at the top of the walls where it meets the ceiling throughout our unit. Factory lighting is so poor. This lit the unit up so well that most of the time this ended up as the primary lighting source
I went through and replaced my Drawer Catches as well! Cool video! You guys are always helping us Rvers with tons of good information! I just ordered 2 of those USB outlets from your store!! No more phone/tablet charge plugs to deal with!!!
Never heard of the slide covers for the floors! That is a neat hack! We currently are 1 month into full-time RVing and we have already put a mattress topper on the mattress but we are thinking that is just a bandaid and we will eventually need another mattress, LOL! Thanks for sharing! ~ Shion and Matthew
I found a near constant deal on a 4 outlet/4 usb outlet with surge at Costco that I can't link at the moment for $12-14 and have bought several for my sticks and bricks, however they have no screw in the center to keep the outlet in the wall. There are other surge protector type wall wart devices with more outlets for about the same price at Amazon. Thanks for those other tips, though. Stay safe on the Job.
Heat shrink around that door catch may last a bit longer than the electrical tape. Just get the right size for your catch, shrink it on and when it wears out just cut it off and repeat. Hope that helps...
Adding these to my list of to do’s when we get our RV. Having OCD probably had nothing to do with the keeping the floors nice all this time either😀. Thank for tips.
Great info. I have been using an old fashioned surge protector. 1. It looks really messy 2. No USB outlets. I’m constantly moving (and loosing) USB plug conversion plugs However, I did find a USB charger that fits into the wall socket and will charge 4 USB devices at the same time. I also have a charger for USBs. Happy Trails
Do you ever lubricate those rollers under the slide. The ones that ride on the floor? With what if you do. I enjoy your channel never to old to learn something new.
I was thinking a thin layer of gorilla tape as you were describing the problem. Maybe a large heat shrink tubing could be a longer term solution? I'm looking at getting a mini van to suit my needs. Always nice to watch videos like this for potential insight and inspirations. Have a good one
We had those same drawer catches on the drawers of our class c motor home, and they all broke fairly early. So we changed them out for magnets to hold the drawers closed.
Loved all the hacks, particularly the squeak-reduction tips. Izzy, always appreciate your neat-freakism , and how well you all take care of your beautiful rig.... However, you lost me on the chair-socks. I recommend the little round stick-on felt pads for the bottom of the legs. Yes they will attract dog hair etc but cleaning/replacing them is no big deal. Sockless chairs!🥴
My thoughts exactly but I the adhesive is very weak. I used industrial strength double sided tape and WALA! Don't laugh too much but I've also used newborn infant socks!😛

One noise i Hate is the stove grate rattle, I put a dish towel under it when traveling wonder if there is a better solution. Also have to remember to put the tray out of the microwave away before travel.
👍👍 Yes, they are annoying and frustrating, especially when thing starts flying all over in the RV. Other than the furniture feet socks, everything you mentioned should be an included built in items from the manufacturer, especially on an RV like yours (Newmar) that costs $200,000+. I understand if it was an el cheapo and their priority is budget instead of quality.
I've seen latched that have a hard polymer tubing over the post for the latch. I don't remember where I saw it but I said hey that's a slick idea. If I come across it again I'll try to get you the information. Have you tried putting a couple layers of heat shrink tubing on the post instead of electrical tape? I would think it would be much more dura6.
How do you deal with rv short queen bed and husband too long to keep covers tucked in over our feet. I have even added extra sheet/blanket folds at the bottom of the bed to no avail.
