- We both scored while BEACH METAL DETECTING with the X-TERRA PRO & X-TERRA ELITE metal detectors. Does the Elite outperform the Pro? Is the Multi-IQ upgrade enough to ditch the Pro?
In our opinion, Multi-IQ is going to be a better way to detect than single frequency... but both detectors do a good job. We always recommend doing the detector research based on the type of terrain you will be detecting and getting the best detector you can afford. The Pro is a great starter machine for under $300 and the Elite is a good option if the Equinox or Manticore is out of the budget! One plus about the Elite is the Expedition package gets you both coils and the headphones. Both are waterproof so either will be good if you are looking for that feature!

HI Guys, I am on my computer this evening, so I am able to comment on todays show. It was good, and I have an X-Terra Pro that I bought for my wife which she doesn't care for, so it sits because I use my Equinox 900 and have my 800 to back it up. The X-Terra Elite shows to be much better Than the Pro. you guys did a great job comparing the two. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Caesar. I'm sorry that your wife doesn't really care for the X-Terra Pro... The machine isn't that bad. Hopefully, she'll give it another go. The learning curve for metal detecting is pretty intense.

Thanks for doing the side-by-side comparison of the 2 detectors. It's a big help to those on the fence when choosing. FYI - I take all my good shape cars, toys, and women's clothing to the local battered women's and children's shelter. Lots of times they have to run off with only the clothes on their backs.

Very nice comparison between the two. I would get an Elite to go with my Equinox 700. The Vanquish pro pack might get retired.
My first question when I saw the Elite come out was why did they not do the Multi-IQ with the Pro? Not sure if it is something they can add in an update or not?

Well I really enjoyed the matchup between the pro and the elite today. I also have both machines and notice the vdi is much more stable on the elite but Penny's in particular come up as a very different number on the elite for some reason. I found three pennies today that came up a 28. That's crazy. On the pro they are a 60. The pro is a slam bargain for what it can do for the price and the elite just does it all better. Nice hunt!
I totally agree. For their pricing, they are both solid and high quality detectors.
Your hunt is proof-positive that even the most heavily detected SoCal beaches are still productive. How about an (X-Terra Elite) Vs. (Vanquish) comparison? If the Elite wins, time to retire the Vanquish? 😛
Hahahahaha. The Vanquish seems to be semi-retired as of now. Ha! But definitely will try to take it out soon and do a comparison of the Elite and Vanquish.

The X-Terra Pro beach mode says it is 8hz but based of testing it is multi frequency and 8 hz isn’t one of them. Single frequency’s don’t perform well in the wet saltwater beach sand. A little afraid of the new update as it may take the multi away. Fun hunt and the elite performance was nice. 👋😁 I think that’s what the 925 means😂

Great hunt. The Xterra Elite will always be more stable because of the Multi-IQ (multiple frequencies at once). It would be really interesting to do a comparison of the Elite vs. Bill's Equinox 800. The Nox would have the advantage on small gold, like small chains, because it has a higher frequency. On silver and coins the might be the same?
The Elite might have the advantage over the Equinox 600 or 800. Remember the Equinox 600 and 800 are 10 year old machines. They have much slower processors then todays machines.
That is weird the Vdi is different even though the scale is the same. (Or at least I think the Scale is ) Otherwise You Two had a very eventful hunt and congrats on the rings and silvers. Awesome. Happy Hunting. Peace

two of those keys are for a disk detainer lock and no not usually cheap!
We were able to return the keys to owner.

Thank you for comparing the two and awesome finds!! From what I can tell and as was mentioned, the only real difference is the multi- frequency, making the Elite more accurate. Or are there some other details I might have missed?

Thanks for the fun. Could you please try and demonstrate using a cheaper Bounty Hunter detector? If you have not tried yet Im sure you will be greatly impressed. I have thw Vanquish 540. But find my Tracker4 and 2200 to be more accurate and effective. Just plain fun and ease of use.

Awesome day. Did you update the XTP? If not, you should and try again because I've heard it helps stabilize the numbers.
I used my XTP at a tot lot and I wanted to immediately go back to my Manticore with the M9 coil which is amazing. I found an iPhone at 18 inches in the wet sand.
We did do the update on the X-Terra Pro.

The woman from Abba I saw there years ago with her husband bjorn. Anyway. Was that Santa Monica? Looks a lot different since I lived there. 1974. Lol long time ago. If it was Bill only I wouldn't view the channel so often. You make the channel Christine. Jim Morrison the doors lived there couple album covers photos from there.
Those buildings along the Santa Monica beach look like they were built in the old Soviet Union. Really UGLY! I enjoyed your day hunting, especially Christine’s ring $$ and Bill’s neat bracelet. That guy cleaning the beach was mean when he scooped up the seagulls’ meal. 🤨
LoL about the buildings. It was a bit of a bummer that the Gary Family had their meal stolen. I have no doubt they found another meal somewhere on the beach.
Any major membership tag on a keychain has a lost keychain policy. Just drop off at any location and they will return to owner.
Yes... we took it a step further and called the gym. They were very helpful... Christine got a call back from the owner immediately and within an hour I had it at the post office and in a Priority box back to him... He was very happy!
@@DigginSoCal I would be happy as well. My key cost about $400 on one of my vehicles so I actually have lost key insurance.

what brand sand scoops are you using?
I use the Xtreme and Christine uses the CKG scoop. Hers is a lil lighter
Another great video :) i just ordered myself the nokta dubble score. What's your opinion on nokta? Since the elite cost 700$ for me so spent 450$ on the nokta. Yep i know strange prices here in Europe
The double score is a good machine (from what I seen on RUclips I don't own a double score)
Does it have single frequency or is it just multifrequency only??
I own the legend and I love it, very good machine, especially in Canada with our steel core change because you can use 40khz, I think euros and euro cents are steel core too
Have fun with your double score, I'm a fan of Nokta, before I had the legend I had the Simple Plus, when I got the legend I gave the Simplex Plus to a kid my mom knows, he was very happy, he had a lousy metal detector before that actually broke, now he has a good Nokta simplex plus, it's an unbreakable machine
We don't have any experience with that detector, but definitely keep us updated on your opinion about it.
