This is the best and easiest to follow, as an aging pensioner who finds these riffs as a challenge, and after trying others on You Tube I finally cracked it with this video and your great explanation, Thank you so much. John. GB
Always preferred the Mac as a blues band rather than the pop rock band they became. Pete Green was probably the best British blues guitarist ever - bar none (BB King thought so anyway) - the best touch and phrasing until LSD laid him to waste. Magic piece of music - all about feel, timing and phrasing - Thanks :)
ein wirklich tolles Tutorial - vielen Dank! Es war gut verständlich, methodisch sehr gut aufgebaut und sehr praxisnah! Ich werde mit gerne weitere Videos anschauen und mich daran orientieren!
bless u for your detail on calling out the notes n frets but I predict these lessons will be up to the student to do a little work & the teacher just plays
Alex, fantastic lessons, may I suggest that you do the Whole performance at the start at normal speed. Then a half speed version of the Whole performance and then break it down.
I won't do it for the copyright issues. That's why on most lessons I do full cover/playthrough and upload it to my other channel. Besides that lessons would be very long.
You're not going to get the exact tone Peter Green achieved simply because as the story goes.. when he acquired his LP somehow the pickups were wired backwards creating that unique "Greenie" tone!
Hi it’s close thankyou there some other versions , maby watch peter green i started learning from him on another vid , and he doesn’t play all of it the other guitar does some of the hight stuff , but thanks
The song alternates between E and F#m. The opening is a B on the second fret of the A string followed by an A chord and an Em7. However, he doesn't play the whole chords, just the the top three strings in each.
According to who?…You?…if they sound right then they fit..there’s more than one way to play a song..music is in the ear,not by sight!! That’s why when you see the original artists doing live sets they will mix it up by changing the chords, position on the fretboard for a little bit of spice but essentially it sounds the same!…He’s done a great job here be greatfull.
One of the greatest songs ever written
Mate. This is by far the best of lessons on the matter of Albatross. Thanks heaps.
This song is most extraordinary. God bless the heart and deep spirit of Peter Green, an understated but immensely talented soul.

Classic Peter Green, excellent lesson, thank you !
I am very grateful for this lesson! Thank you! 🙏
Sometimes “pretty simple” melodies are the most emotionally evocative.
Wow thankyou all. My life I've wanted to learn this song you have made it posable thankyou again from Paul hart
I can't believe this has just been posted!! been listening to this song a lot the past few months.. many thanks!
Complimenti per la chiarezza della lezione, finora la migliore, che mi ha molto facilitato l'esecuzione del brano. Grazie
Thanks, this finally make sense of a song I first heard while at achool in the later 1960s!
I appreciate the full and as always well explained lesson, thanks Alex
A lovely peace of music Albatross. Many thanks for this I will be playing this one now.

Kevin Sinclair , I know Mac influenced Garry Moore... But in my humble opinion, Garry Moore is the best Brish Blues guitar
laid to waste? he's put out at least 15 albums since.
@ozzie houser depends on your taste
Those germans in Munich just fried his brain. A great loss for music, worldwide. He still left us some amazing testimonies of his talent...
BB King never said that. He never would stand someone over another. Gary Moore said, that BB said it.

very nice tutorial . It might helpful to mention the key a song is in at the beginning of the tutorial?
Great lesson thank you btw were are you from what country.
Very cool, wish I had my guitar w/ me! Thank you!
Koop man,nice to see. Klass
Chuck Berry's "Deep Feeling" from 1957 is the original instrumental, inspired Albatros
Lennon did "Sun King" admittedly inspired by Fleetwood Mac (obviously he was referring to their 1969 hit "Albatross")
thanks a lot man
Good stuff...!!
Hi, just found your video, very good!! Is that a Gibson Black Beauty that you have in your hand, by any chance. Lovely guitar. Anthony.

GuitarForce.Com what copyright issue would you encounter if you're playing your own version of the song?
You’re a great guitar instructor……
Hi Alex, can you breakdown Blue jeans blues by Jeff Healey? I think its the absolute best version of the song. Bless you.
What is this for guitar
Could you show the full tab so I can use it to learn please
✌🏼
Thanks for this alex!

Curious as to why you play with distortion on. Is it just a habit?
Well, well... nice job but, isn't there a couple of bends at the "high" part?
Hi it’s close thankyou there some other versions , maby watch peter green i started learning from him on another vid , and he doesn’t play all of it the other guitar does some of the hight stuff , but thanks
Can you do fast talking woman Blues
Is Albatros really a Blues?
Why not take the initial b on the e string with your third finger (7th position)? Taking it on the a string creates a gap in the phrase...
That's how I've always played it, since I learnt it almost 30 years ago
Still not received my downlode
Can someone tell me the first two chords - I can't catch what you say they are.
The song alternates between E and F#m. The opening is a B on the second fret of the A string followed by an A chord and an Em7. However, he doesn't play the whole chords, just the the top three strings in each.
Ok. I kinda figured it out already. But thanks. I find it a tricky change. B; A TO Em7. I will get used to it. What a great sound it makes ...
It should be written Emaj7 actually. Em7 is E minor 7th - totally different chord.

Good demonstration - but don't talk so much. It's not necessary and is distracting
