Interesting, I've never heard that arrangement of “Kingdom Coming” or “Year of Jubilo” by Henry C. Work.

I hope this music and these performances are not lost to this age of political correctness. I really miss the re-enactment at Tannehill Park. Do they do any anymore?

VERY intrigued given that "Wait for the Wagon" is a regimental song of the British Army's Royal Logistics Corps stemming back through RCT, RASC, ASC etc?

I was not aware of that! This tune appears in Howe's United States Regulation Drum and Fife Instructor from 1861. There are many fife and drum tunes that appear in various manuals, as well as tunes that date back way before the American Civil War and to other countries. Many times, the same melody is published by different name, which can become very confusing as well.

@@patrickjones7521 Yes, singing star Alice Faye sang "Moonglow" by a different name, although the melody was the same.

@@edpzz Forgive my drunken terminology, indeed March not Song and I left the Regiment in 1991 so wasn't aware the RLC hadn't adopted it

If memory serves, the RLC march is lion, sword and crown. As an ex trogg 'wait for the wagon' squeezes a tear of pride from old tired eyes, Nil Sine Labore!
