- Hey guys!! I'm finally back to uploading! This week I decided to cover "I Am A Girl Like You" from The Princess And The Pauper!! This song is super nostalgic for me cause I basically grew up watching barbie movies! Huge thanks to my friend Anna for singing this duet with me! She absolutely killed it!!

Dose anyone else remember how the two dolls if clicked at the same time on the back would sing part of this duet perfectly. Man what happened, the old movies and dolls were amazing especially the quality of the clothes and hair. I miss those times. Oh and remember the red and blue 3D glasses from Barbie and the the Pegasus. I have that pair somewhere and I definitely will make my kids experience those(if I ever have kids). But truly you guys singing Barbie song really gives me a blast from the past. You both sound amazing!
omg i remember as a kid wanting those barbie dolls from all the movies, I remember having a dress I wore for Halloween as a kid from barbie and the diamond castle, I miss the magic barbie had in those movies-

I think it came with Barbie that went with the movie and then I got the carriage cause I’m a horse girl lol. What’s your fave movie, I think mine is the princess and the popper cause of the music.

For everyone saying ‘how are they the same if Erika has it harder cause she’s poor’ I would beg to differ. And the reason for this is found on the song Free “you would think that I’m so lucky that I have so many things. I’m realizing that every present comes with strings”. The weight of people not to end up like Erika solely depends on Annelise’s shoulders and her marrying someone she doesn’t love. In the song To Be A Princess we get a small glimpse on how she’s taught all this protocol and to bottle up and hide her true feelings for the sake of her people. IF it had come down to it I bet she would have even married Preminger to save her kingdom from poverty. She was born into this life and has no choice but to comply with heavy duties at a young age… just like Erika. Indeed they have VERY different lifestyles but as they say heavy is the head that wears the crown.
