I miss him in Midwest Whitetails, and now that Jared has left too, I no longer watch it. I'm glad he came back with his own show with his daughter. It's a breath of fresh air.
10:35 - you can see the scar on the top of his back from the shot a year before. Hate that this buck suffered for as long as he did but it wasn't on purpose (he ducked). Goes to show how tough these animals really are when you realize that on top of that injury, there also was the EHD that decimated his area. And yet, he was able to overcome it all despite the odds. Unfortunately for him, his luck ran out a year later & he's now up on this guy's wall as a display & conversational piece. Cool story, even better when the evidence confirmed everything like he said.
Bill was cool enough to let us film a few Florida hunts for his SouthEast show years ago. We will never forget the things we learned from that experience. Bill is a calculated deer killer and an awesome dude.

Midwest Whitetail was by far my favorite hunting show, I take anything Bill says about hunting whitetails to heart, I never looked at Bill as just another ine of the also-ran canned hunt TV hunters that most know less about hunting than the guy at the Walmart gun counter
I quit mounting my big deer as well to me it looks better this way and you can grab them off the wall anytime to show people or reminense over them. To each his own I guess
