@KINTAMA Basically from what I got from it is how she felt betrayed by Rika and the emotions she still feels towards her. At least that's my perspective of it.
@C.C. to put it in depth, "i believe what you said" is Satoko trusting Rika when she says she won't leave her after going to Lucia Academy. The next line "A place I long to return to" while showing the Hinamizawa schoolhouse is in line with Satoko wanting to stay there. "Distant scenery" could also fit that same agenda. The chorus "I've always felt your joy. I've always felt your tears. No one was closer to you, now those memories haunt me" is Satoko speaking about how she's upset and scared that Rika always chooses to break Satoko's heart in the end, and that she hates those old memories because of it. At the end of the song when it's talking about the door opening and having something engulfed in the light could be interpreted as either Satoko gaining her power to stop Rika from leaving her, or it could be something involving Rika. Most of the lines in the song correlate to how Satoko is feeling about the whole situation at hand imo
1 year later and I can't believe people think the song is in the perspective of Satoko when this is clearly in the perspective of Rika since she's the one being focused and featured during the whole opening.
People need to take their nostalgic glasses off, this beats the original OP. Not sure why people thought the original OP was more “disturbing” than this one, this has a grittier tone than the colorful flower visuals they had in the original.
I still think the original was more creepy and suspenseful, not saying I dislike this one cause I also love it, just in a different way, cause it seems hype af at times and melancholic yet hopeful in other parts
I’m here after watching episode 19. Becasue I think this song was legit what Satoko’s perspective is

Welcome to the remains, of the Higurashi fandom.
Remains? Ha! The looks at the dust that is Umineko, that particles of Higanbana.
Remains? what?? there are still a *lot* of fans, and this new arc has only brought in more
Hahaha k, this has only added more fans and on lookers to the fandom
Literally these remains still exist and i am one of them
@@mr.vivachious1855 LIVING FOSSIL!
When you get to that point in the anime where you understand everything in the OP
Best op of 2020 anime for sure. This song is just too good I’m still listening 2 years later
After episode 20 , I could clearly imagine satoko singing these lyrics
The lyrics hit different after watching episode 19
Thank you for the HD version!
After episode 19, this op really hits different
So the real story starts after episode 19
0:45 There it is. The one frame everyone lost their shit over and didn't get any payoff for 18 episodes.
1:21 now the question is, whos hand is that. Episode 19 really raised and answered alot of questions
That's Satoko's hand....that's the piece of the shard she gets from inside the statue.
@Alt Account My mistake you're correct, for some reason I kept thinking it was Satoko.
@@supersaiyenunlimit2 It was Satoko's, just looo at the final scene of Gou
Mion and Shion look so goood
One of the most underrated anime I've ever watched. Truly a masterpiece!

Yea I agree it’s my second favorite one. The second OP is still undefeated tho
I think this OP kinda similar to how VN OP is and I love it xD

@@Starriaaa Nah, Happy! Lucky! Dochi! Was clearly better 😜
@@wilhelmdietz4023 NOOOOOO! Why'd you have to remind us of the true scariest Higurashi op by far 😭
I love this opening ❤❤❤❤❤
fookin satoko
0:46I love this theme1:00😊😊😊😊😊
althought im not a big gousotsu fan, this OP is so good, the only fact that doesn't make this my favorite Higu OP is because of Kai's
Why does this hit so hard?
i cant fucking believe that the singer of this is the singer of yuru camp op too wtf
This person sing yuru camp op too
The animation looks like it's from Bakemonogatari
Because it's Higurashimonogatari
Because they have the same character designer. And that's great!
Who's here after watching episode 21's version of this
