It's only gonna get more crazier once we conquer stars and then the galaxies, and then the universe. In my paradoxical universal head made by the universe itself that is.
Vaporwave seems as remote and lost in time now as the stuff it was originally inspired by. It has been a billion years since 1995, a million since 2015
i've been collecting vapor physicals for years now, and i have some pretty cool physical-exclusive tracks and albums i haven't seen online yet. you've convinced my lazy ass i should dust off the tape deck and start sharing.
Hmm something seemed and sounded very familiar about this. I found another video of this album with a link to HFM's Bandcamp page for it and it's been taken down. Clicked "show more" here and had the Aha! moment when I saw all songs listed as produced by The Kyoto Connection on the album The Flower, the Bird and the Mountain. Slowing other people's tracks down and tinkering over them can produce very cool results, as we see here and with most of HFM's stuff in general, but as opposed to obscure or even mainstream 80s artists from Japan, I wonder how currently active artists feel about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of both HFM and TKC and at first thought maybe this was a collaboration, but there is zero info out there so who knows. Damn shame really because I want this tape!
@@Sonnell In actuality the term audiophile has been hijacked by the same type of losers who think photorealism is the idealized form of art or game visuals. If you are into audio then you're definitionally an audiophile, regardless of which resolution provides you optimum fidelity for listening.
@@basedmod2139 Can not agree. The real meaning of audiophile is to have the highest quality. Check wikipedia for example. I never heard of the term audiophile in the context you just described. Never heard of anyone hijacking the term. And I am in the "business" since a very long time. Perhaps this is the other way around???
@@basedmod2139 Sorry, your question kinda does not make sense. How could it mean anything else than hearing a waveform closest to its original form, with the least possible noise? Square waves are anyways most difficult to reproduce perfectly at the speaker side. As it contains a close to infinite high and low frequencies when broken down to sine waves. What is your point?
Dude awesome stuff. This vibe must be immaculate. When you have a chance, you should get a nicer mic though, would help us here it better. Keep up the good work tho

It's no longer available online from what I can tell. I got this from a friend who gifted me a copy. You can see all releases if you search "Haircuts for Men - 京都コネクション" on Discogs.
When I'm not capturing the audio, I use a Micca B42 bookshelf speakers and a Sony STRDH190 audio receiver. When I do the rips, I use the receiver and a Behringer U22 usb DAC. I've had less than stellar experiences doing the DAC directly to the deck.
i love the algorithm for bringing me here
we're reaching levels of aesthetics that are theoretically impossible

RUclips algorithm cooked with this suggestion 🔥🔥🔥

It’s more likely than you’d think!
HELL YEAH NICE!
🔥
This is some audiophile type stuff. Thank you for the satisfaction.
audiophile on a cassette tape? :) That does not compute, but of course if you like how it sounds then it does not matter.

This is actually direct via RCA to USB through my DAC
I'm thinking I should probably turn on Dolby Noise Reduction for future vids (beyond the one I'll be posting in a bit)

Nah nah keep the fuzz
I can´t get any of this stuff in Argentina... So cool!
Aguante la música.

Would love a wav recording of the line out on this. Lossy codec compression isn't a good kind of lofi :(((((((((
