This release has some crackles that you can hear. It's been like that ever since I got it new, but I find it adds a little flair to it.

Tree of Knowledge is an album of original FM chiptunes in the style of Sega Genesis adventure games, 90's anime, and PC-98 visual novels. The concept is presented as a soundtrack to a fictional game, with character themes, opening and ending credits, and dramatic scenes.

Easy to get lost in.
The dubbing on this tape is bit of a mess -- super bassy on side A, way quieter on side B.
Bro, i love the vibe! This is great, greet from Brazil.
It’s so great to see you having fun with this channel and showing off your excellent collection of music
Glad you enjoy it!
HIGH ART ❤

Great start to my morning, ty
This was supposed to be the summer of George! Serenity now!
"Neighborhoods" (2020) by Waterfront Dining / COSMIC CYCLER is a tour de force in the realm of Vapourwave, a sonic journey through an abstract, urban dreamscape. This album is a meticulously crafted homage to the past, imbued with a sense of melancholic nostalgia that is both haunting and enchanting. The standout track, "Road Works," is a masterclass in evocative sound design. It opens with a lush, reverb-drenched synth line that immediately transports the listener to a neon-lit city street, bathed in the glow of flickering signs and the hum of distant traffic. The beat is steady and hypnotic, a rhythmic pulse that mirrors the relentless flow of urban life. Waterfront Dining's production is flawless, each layer of sound carefully placed to create a rich, immersive experience. The rest of the album maintains this high standard, each track offering a unique glimpse into a different corner of this imagined metropolis. "Morning Commute" captures the frenetic energy of rush hour with its upbeat tempo and bustling soundscape, while "Evening Stroll" slows things down, its mellow grooves perfect for a reflective walk through dimly lit streets. "Lost in the City" is a standout, its haunting melodies and echoing vocals evoking a sense of longing and isolation. What makes "Neighborhoods" truly remarkable is its ability to evoke powerful emotions through minimalistic yet intricate arrangements. COSMIC CYCLER's influence is evident in the album's cohesive flow and the seamless blending of disparate elements into a unified whole. Each track is a vignette, a snapshot of a moment in time, yet together they form a vivid, multi-faceted portrait of urban life. In the ever-evolving world of Vapourwave, "Neighborhoods" stands out as a landmark achievement, a testament to the genre's potential for artistic expression and emotional depth. It's an album that not only pays homage to its roots but also pushes the boundaries of what Vapourwave can be, making it an essential listen for any connoisseur.

There it is! Solid upload 👍 Evening Shades gotta be the best here imo
@OhRaez, glad you liked it!
The authenticity here is making me jealous but yet, calm.
@pp3k07 thanks! If you’re jealous now, just wait until you see the new deck that’s coming
Ooo. Subbed to find out!
Sounds like you got a great setup over there
Thank you!
Why did this need to take almost TWO WEEKS to land on my feed! :)
Great stuff man. I thank you for these uploads, and I assure you there is someone whose productivtiy lifeline is this! (it's me actually)
Took me right into the year 1991
Wonderful..
First track is 18 Carat Affair.
A Frasier wave would be keen.
When I first heard this back in 2017, it was probably one of my favourite albums put together during that time. The prime era of Vaporwave, despite getting really bloated and oversaturated from going mainstream, had these amazing albums/EPs representing the genre. Some even flew under the radar from the mainstream, and only had their relevance within the tight Vaporwave community, like Teamm Jordann - Champion, Waterfront Dining - Smiley 笑う, HFM - 地下カラオケ & 共振 EPs, and 猫 シ Corp. : Class of '84. Every generation has their weird little niche phenomenon, trend, or genre that is special to _their_ generation. This was certainly one of them for the chronically online late 2000s/2010s people in their teens and 20s.
I have a lot more cat system corp, hfm, and waterfront dining mixes. Thursday will probably be a Waterfront Dining cassette
@@AMutableTrine That's amazing. I never collected the physical media when they released (which I regret. They're pretty valuable now), but they were on repeat for my daily commute on my iPod and/or phone in the summers. Living in an old, rundown part of Toronto, made me reminisce a lot of my childhood and be nostalgic for the 80s/90s... I'll be tuned in for that upload!
@OhRaez it’s never too late to start collecting. The bulk of my collection of cassettes are random ambient/vaporwave/dungeon synth stuff I found for cheap on Discogs.
@@AMutableTrine Yea, I got a collection myself. Just unfortunately never bought Vaporwave stuff. I'll check into it more. Every time I'd take a peek on discogs for my favourite material, it's stupid prices. Gotta dig deeper then lol. Maybe even search elsewhere. Cheers!! Great upload :) Also, what audio interface and software did you use to rip this? Quality is excellent.
@OhRaez great question! It’s a KDV11 going to a Sony STR DH190 receiver via rca, rca out from the receiver to a behringer u222 DAC, and the DAC to PC via usb. I listen separately when I record via some Micca MB42X bookshelf speakers running out from another output from the deck. That helps me also pair the camera audio with the recordings I make from audacity on PC.
It's "newer", with a "ma" in front of it. Ma-newer. It's really very refreshing.
this channel is a whole ass vibe, I love it. I like that you started showing the insertion of the tape, too!
Thank you!
That 1999 cut is PERFECT
This is like Lofi trip Hop not Vaporwave..
Amazing record beautiful music !
wow. this is a very important video
what speakers do you have with this setup? (love ur stuff btw)
Micca MB42x bookshelf speakers, but I record the audio for these videos via a Behringer U222 DAC, not a microphone
@@AMutableTrine ahh cool- cheers!
Beautiful music.
If only barber shops played this in their lobbies
This is SO smooth! I'm loving it🦖
