Yes, more music and more hugs would be very much appreciated in the wider sphere of human existence. It also seems that there must be a different way of looking, perhaps operating a higher frequency vibration, which comes from silence but also animates with the natural world that somehow humans have lost. I am not sure that this "non duel" discussion is entirely tapped into this new way of looking because it always seems to be in some kind of seeking mode. The question is how to make time stop so we can start this beautiful looking. Then, there will be far more hugs and music because we will no longer need to analyze because this beauty will be so obvious!!! Check out the music!! reverbnation.com/willgainesmusic

    Hello Dietrich,
Loved the dialog between you and Peter. Thank you for posting it. Great flow in your interactions with one another. Light hearted. Wonderfully clear as well as entertaining in the best sense.

TONY PARSONS EXPLAINS WHAT NONDUALITY IS IN A BETTER WAY.

It seems true what you say. I also have benefitted from many so called "teachers" that "I" listen to on line. Perhaps, "I" am able to have opposing views which do not really oppose but are complimentary!! I do see, however, that we are not making very good traction any kind of genuine shift of consciousness through individual teachings. I do not know, but there must be a different way to share or collaborate to make this amazing beauty and simplicity available on a much larger scale. I do see that there is a kind of "idea" about non-duality which is becoming like an infant religion. Tony Parsons has a way of cutting to the quick which seems to break through these ideas, but his style does not not resonate with many. I am not sure what this new way of communicating is. We shall see!!

William Gaines Yes, there is this natural inclination to share what is found to be worth sharing. A new way of communicating (in daily life) would be to talk less, make more music and share more hugs.

Yes, but I wonder and I don't know is that this need to have a "guide" may be one of the chief causes of separation. If this is a case, then creating a whole network of so called "teachers" who may sometimes be "posing" as enlightened beings, or even if they are not , may be reinforcing the illusion of the teacher student division, may be
creating in a way a new form of a kind of "non duel" religion. Religion, after all is a set of beliefs enforced by authority and reinforced with a set of precepts that are commonly known to be true. So when "seekers' start going to teachers, they begin to learn concepts, that are presumed not be concepts, but actually are because they are shared through a kind of veil of authority. That is probably why Jesus's words became so distorted by thousands of years of missionaries, preachers, and Christian doctrine. The bible itself may be an actual distortion of the teaching of Jesus. Jesus made a point of "kicking the money changers out of the temple because he was so concerned about "money" being a by product of any notion of what was sacred. Yes, people have to have shelter and they need bread, but there is a risk of creating a kind of professional class of teachers who unwittingly borrow and reinforce concepts in order to continue having students. The best "teachers" may be the ones who are dedicated to putting themselves out of business. "I' was never interested in having a "guide" at a satsang maybe there was already a significant shift before I started attending satsangs.. "I" always wanted to share form a non personal view, to go deeper, into consciousness because "I" had already lost interest in the "me" for the most part. Usually, I come away somewhat disappointed that almost all the dialogue and questions seem to revert back to a personal reference, and a desire for the so called seeker to learn something from the so called teacher. This always seems like such a waste of energy, and very much like a monkey that only wants to rattle the cage!! There must be a better way to have communion and to create a deeper and more authentic sharing then this. I am interested in finding out what that could be before we just end up creating a whole new religion!! Check out the song "Sky Report"

William Gaines I agree with most of what you say, William. However, there is an undertone of 'right' and 'wrong.'
I have been ever so grateful for people like Francis Lucille and others. They don't reject the term 'teacher' as they have benefited from their association with their teachers. Sure, for some, teachers are unnecessary, and in those cases, teachers may feel like crutches you don't need. If that is the case, it may still be nice listening to them to enjoy their unique expression without seeing yourself as a student. 'Kill the Buddha when you meet him' would perhaps represent your point of view. The opposite 'See that there is essentially no difference between you and any teacher or anything else' is the other, equally valid statement. To be on the mission in favor of or against teachers is not on my plate. I don't mind teachers but heard many in favor of no teachers, starting with J Krishnamurti who was supposed to become the world teacher for the Theosophical Society. I met him several times in the 70's, and his words were filled with the freedom you are speaking of.
I have one very simple rule of thumb: As long as people identify with a separate person, they may benefit from following pointers that show them that their assumptions are imagined. A good teacher will just do this. Having realized this, there is no need for teachers. Sailor Bob starts his 'Spiel' with the statement, that he can't give anything to anyone, and nothing can be gained from him. This is a statement of a true teacher, and in that statement is a true teaching because it can evoke insight in the listener. A good teacher may pull every support from under the feet of the 'student.' Nisargadatta Maharaj was very good at this, for example. Teaching is not necessarily aimed at fueling divisions, but as you have said, it often goes that way. Even if it often goes that way, I can't claim that I could know that something is right or wrong.
