    I will say that fan design really impressed me too! That support rod for the motor was a cool thing as well. A lot of these fans seem to have a 3-blade design which is fine, but sometimes I wish 4-blade was the more common one. I always like that design.

      The 4 blade would probably be quieter, but may not perform as well.

    A manual thermostat you would want at a working height and plugged into a mounted wall outlet so you can adjust it manually without a ladder. The exhaust fan will be most effective and cost efficient at the highest part of the highest wall in the building. I just ordered two. I’m going as close to the peak I can get. Thanks for the review of the construction

    That is one very well built fan. Even for a modern, product, I am super impressed with the design, i do have to agree that the Daytons are much better, but one thing for sure is that this is practically a Modern Equivalent to a Dayton, Proper design, Big Motor, steeply pitched blades, this is one Quality built product that won't shame. I'm glad you found a good alternative, And I hope it works out well for you. I liked and enjoyed as always. I can't wait for the electrical connection part and the running of this beast of a fan.

    Nice video and fan. It could be that the motor casing takes sleeve bearings and ball bearings as options so the oil ports would be for the sleeve bearing configuration, but yours might have the ball bearings actually inside.

    • @JordanU
      @JordanU  Год назад

      It is advertised as having ball bearings.

    Weird that the blade cage is the same diameter as the outside flange.. have to cut a hole as large as the cage so there is really no lip flange to keep rain out! Am I missing something?

    those 'oil ports' might be weep holes for the motor to let any moisture that gets in, drain out

      Yeah, I was going to say the same thing lol. I’ve seen similar with substation power transformer cooling fan motors
