I like these. One of the things that really prevent me from enjoying my XIs is the excessive and inevitable creasing. I love the aesthetic and design language, and while the patent leather is iconic, a non-creasing material really helps me enjoy wearing the shoe and makes it less stressful.
I love that there are like minded people here! My favorites are Black Panther, Batman (w/Micheal Keaton) & Teen Mutant Ninja Turtles (original)…so many great memories from watching these movies!

As for the question of the day, I have to place the first Superman movie in there because it was the very first of its kind and paved the way for live action superhero movies. Toby’s Spider-man (I loved the second one better) because that was the first spider-man live action that really felt like it was from the comic book….and of course, BLADE! Wesley Snipes started the MCU with it….low budget and all. I love that movie and the second one leveled up! The fact that he also used legit martial arts champions in fight scenes made it so much better. ❤🤓

Deadpool and Wolverine did a great job of pay homage to Blade and those early 2000s Marvel movies. I initially wouldn't have considered Blade as the catalyst for modern live action superhero moves but I also wasn't old enough to watch those movies, when they originally released. It makes sense though.
