@ 6:50, the fellow on left is Paul Genge. He played Ed Price in the Steve McQueen movie 'Bullitt' in '68. His character was the shotgun toter in that Dodge Charger.
Yeah, I knew he was familiar. That voice and face is so memorable. His acting is really good, even in this industrial film. A real professional at work.
3:26 is the Ann Arbor Michigan NYC station. Here is a link to how it looks now. Amtrak is right next to it to the west. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_Arbor_station_(Michigan_Central_Railroad)#/media/File:MichiganCentralDepotAnnArborMI.JPG
My favorite character is the guy with the pipe. He just looks like he's smoking that pipe and chilling.
Excellent cultural time capsule. Reminds me of the world I experienced as a boy. Thank you for a very good railroad video.
I love this vieo...God bless the old days of America
all those railroads in the opening credits have been winnowed down to just five

William H. Baird Videogates and Evidence
Bill, the newsletter man, looks like he might have been the Inspector on Barney Miller, James Gregory.
It has to be.....Sgt Lugar....
It is-the one and only. He also starred with Rod Steiger in Al Capone in 1959.
And was the gorilla general in Beneath the Planet of the Apes

Norman Rockwell: the movie
I'm betting that place is a riot when the beer gets flowing...
Lookie at all the white guys!
You're mistaken. Only minorities riot!
How did Peter Griffin put it? "Only minorities with guns kill minorities".
This movie has that cold war propaganda tone to it.
