- With the addition of Orion to the park’s lineup, @KingsIslandPR now has 14 roller coasters to choose from. Ranging from kiddie, family, and extreme thrill machines, this Cedar Fair park has a great collection to enjoy. Additionally, Kings Island’s claim to fame is that they currently feature the most wooden coaster track of any other amusement park on the planet, with a total of 18,804 feet of track.

I just rode Banshee and I swear that was no roughness. I feel like every B&M is smoother than people say.
Yeah I rode it recently and the roughness didn’t bother me.
Flight of Fear is my favorite ride at KI! That take off into the dark is always so exciting and invigorating!
Orion is my favorite followed by Mystic Timbers. I then have a pretty large gap before Diamondback.
I think it's interesting how different people can rank the coasters at Kings Island.
Mystic timber’s is my favorite the airtime on it is so strong

I love seeing everyone’s different mindsets and opinions on coasters! I’ve ridden Orion twice so far and although I love it, Diamond back is still my #1 favorite as I love the airtime on it and it holds a special place in my heart. Diamondback was a HUGE accomplishment for me when I first started getting into roller coasters, and it’s just really special to me. 🥰

IMO Invertigo is the most underrated. It's a bit on the smaller side yes, but it compensates for that with its short lines. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 30 or 40 minutes.
RIP Vortex. it was my favorite. And back in the good ol' days, Racer had a foward facing train and a backward facing train! I was very disappointed when they changed it to have two forward facing trains.
Yessss. I loved the vortex too can't believe it's gone 😢 💔 and the backwards racer was my favorite I'm sad they've changed all of that
Yes bat is so underrated
I guarantee if Kings Island expanded their park to make The Bat less "out there", The Bat would be so much more popular

Everyone has their own taste. I think the rattle on Banshee really ruins the ride.

@@XscreamThrills I agree, but I still always ride Banshee, it might be the coaster with the most varied ride experience ever, some days it is extremely forceful and then sometimes it feels like the track is made of rocks.

I literally just went there while we where at a soccer tournament in Cincinnati. This park is fun.

Good list. Finally glad to see someone put Orion at the top where it belongs. Row 4 and back on the right side is best. By the way, Invertigo, which was opened as Face Off, is intended to ride across from each other so you "face off" from one another....it's a shame they have lost this. I always ask the people we ride with if they want to sit across from each other so they can see each other. Most people say yes.

I wish they could resolve the roughness issues for Banshee. In the front row its smooth and my favorite invert (I have also ridden Montu and Raptor). But yea, back riw is almost unbearablr
since when was the rattle on banshee unbearable? the beast is easily running WAY rougher than banshee ever has from my 2020 rides of both

Maybe that's why the rattle never bothers me. I only ride Banshee in the front. Though that last inl8ne twist is so much fun in the middle.
What? The Banshee has no roughness, even in the back row. I just rode it in the back row yesterday and it was smooth.

@@XscreamThrills no question. First rides at age 7, 1992. I was hooked. Definitely a sentimental favorite, but the night ride is still epic.
Put Mystic Timbers at 1 and move everything else down one place.
The banshee has no rattle, and i usually sit in the back

Yeah, i went to KI last week with some friends and Banshee was super smooth. We got to ride it multiple times and not once did we notice a rattle
@Jose V. bruh I went yesterday in it in the back and middle and it was so rough on my head I had such a bad headache. Then I went in front and it was miles better
Ummm guys Banshee has a serious rattle starting from row 3 on back during in between the elements.
Ahhh I was gonna do this exact same video as my next one 😂 might have to wait on it now. Also, I can’t believe how low racer is! I loved it.
Kings island has a great lineup which makes it a challenge to rank majority of their coasters. Looking forward to your list!
I haven't ridden Orion or Mystic Timbers yet so for now my favorite coaster there is The Beast followed by Banshee, The Bat, Diamondback, Firehawk (R.I.P.), Flight of Fear, Adventure Express, Backlot Stunt Coaster, The Racer, Vortex (R.I.P.) and Invertigo.
I like this list. I might put Racer a little higher because I love these old PTC wooden coasters, racer is a solid coaster with some pretty strong sustained Airtime.

Racer is very low, in the front it’s in my top 8 at the park... also I love bat but dang higher than banshee is very unpopular, but I love to see it! Nothing is fun if everybody thinks the same, great video!

the first time i rode diamond back i got the back row, and it was awesome!! i would totally recommend trying to get it if you can.
It sucks that we couldnt keep the Vortex or Firehawk. They would help so much with spacing out the park on top of these new rides. Now the lines at Orion, Banshee, Diamondback will feel longer then they already were

Yeah The Bat is so hard to find that's why me and my family hardly ever ride it but you should've seen the line on May 5 last year (it was really crowded that day you should've seen The Racer) (also it's one of my favorites)

You're right about flight of fear and tall people. I'm glad I was fortunate to ride it in my teens because I can't get the bar over my knees anymore 😔
I like how you've added where your favorite place to ride each coaster is. You should start sometime of database where you put both the pro's and con's on front and back, your suggestion, and let users vote whether they prefer front or back

Pretty easy back gives you the best forces and thrills and front gives you the best scenic view. For most coasters.
Back row on Orion is amazing.
FUN FACT: Woodstock Express originally opened as Beastie and had a tunnel on its first drop sadly they removed the tunnel at the end of the 2005 season. Opened as the Fairly Odd Coaster in 2006. The tunnel made it much better felt faster especially at night!
Actually, it originally opened as “the Scooby Doo” back when Planet Snoopy was themed the Hanna Barbera. And it sported an all yellow color scheme
@@Bald_Fart Do actual research sir when it was Originally built it was to go along side the beast hence the name The Beastie, Then it was changed to fairly odd coaster when they had the Nickelodeon phase, then cedar fair came in and changed it yet again.
@@KB.84 Woodstock Express opened in 1972 as the Scooby Doo. The Beast wasn’t constructed until 1979. You are partially correct in that it was called the Beastie at one point, but that wasn’t until after the beast opened

Love your list by the way. There is no wrong answer. Always a matter of opinion. People have different tastes about what they like in a ride. I’m always interested to see those differences and similarities when watching these videos. That airtime in the back row on Diamondback always takes the cake for me. Then MT is the wooden airtime machine. Do agree that the first drop on Orion is 2nd to none though. It’s crazy how different DB and Orion are from each other, yet both are excellent rides. Great video my man! Ride On!

I haven’t been since 2017, hoping I can get at least one visit in this year!
The longest we waited was maybe 30 min., if even that, not counting the weather delay in the evening, or the 20 min. downtime of Orion.

Going to kings island for the first time this year with my class! What rides should I prioritize (Personally, I love going fast but not so much upside down, I have never gone on a roller coaster that doesnt have a floor at the bottum (Where you can kick your legs) and I dont care much about outdoor or indoor. What ride is the best for me?
If you don't care to go upside down and like speed, then your priority should likely be: Orion, Diamondback, The Beast, Mystic Timbers, The Bat
I can't wait to get to kings island this year! This will be the first time since 2017!

Beast is still my favorite for sentimental reasons but for thrills its Orion, it’s so savage
surprised to see backlot so low, it’s a short but yet very thrilling ride. diamondback is one on my favorites along with orion, happy to see them in the top 3.
I go to kings island all summer long. And I love all! But I am a big fan of big rides so I love Orion!!
I'm getting ready to go to Kings Island for a day with my fusion team at my school I hope it is fun.
Invertigo looks different in this video than it was when I went several years ago. I wonder how they fixed it all up, when I rode it I got so much headbanging it was painful. Wasnt it called Face Off when it first opened?

Yes I sure am a B&am fanboy! I live in Ohio so it’s a blessing because I got 1 of every major B&M type (or previously had) aside from a Flyer so I can experience a lot of B&M goodness in my state
My top three are flight of fear, Orion, and banshee. The reason diamond back isn’t up there is because with Orion, diamond back just seems like a smaller slower version of orion
I can’t wait to go to kings island! I’m going on august 13th it’s going to be my second time but I don’t remember it because I was so little
The helix at the end of the best is terrifying. Sitting on the left side of the cart makes you feel like you’re going to get your head ripped off
this park is stacked- I’m sad it’s not on the west coast :/
A few thoughts:
I agree with your Top 6, we have the same Top 4. #5 and #6 are just flipped.
Mystic Timbers moved up from #4 to #3 in the park for me as I got a night ride in the back and it was awesome!
I have Bat at #6. This is super underrated coaster.
I have Banshee at #5 due to that rattle. I use to have it higher (#3) but the rattle was bad this past trip
Adventure Express is not any good. I would put it at #12. One of the worst endings to any roller coasters.
None of Kings Island coasters re in my Top 15. The park has a solid line-up overall.
I always think about how smooth B&M inverts r but apparently the newest one is pretty rough!😬

I found banshee actually smooth if you sit on the inside seats on each row

I work at banshee and It is my favorite coaster in the park, with that being said i personally think the outside seats are the best
I'm surprised by the people saying Banshee is rough. It was one of the smoothest out of the 100 coasters I've been on, rode it three times. Certainly smoother than The Bat.
If you sit closer to the back, it starts picking up a nasty rattle

We didn’t ride mystic timbers, we thought it was a water ride. Now I wish we rode it. Maybe next year
Ok actually weird question but how much Airtime does Great pumpkin have? Because I know some of those E&F Miller's are better than others.

I liked the top gun roller coaster which I think is now bat because that day I’m the wait was short!

Just rode Diamondback, as well as everything else at KI last week. I did not notice the rattle. Perhaps this was fixed? It was so smooth, and there is so much airtime, it pushed it above Orion for me. What an incredible ride. That said, The Beast in the dark will remain my #1. There is nothing else like it.
It depends what train you get. I can't remember the color, possibly green? I was there recently, rode it six times and two of those times were incredibly rough. But when it's smooth, it's fantastic

Just visited Kings island, and the second time I rode the beast with my mother, it was really dark, and of course felt faster. She was convinced that the track would give on the helix. 🤣

Mystic is still my favorite, although Orion is second. Mystic's pacing is just so good.
Adv Express is better than FoF imo, mostly because the ride itself is just more enjoyable. FoF is much rougher this year because of the complete stop in the mid-course causing laterals all the way through the rest of the ride. It's just uncomfortable.

While I still rank Banshee very highly, I do agree that the roughness really impacts the experience. The first time I rode it I was disappointed because I'd heard how great it was but all I could think about was the roughness while I was riding. Front row rides redeemed it and make it really cool for me but the roughness still really hurts the experience. I compare it to Alpengeist in that way, though Alpengeist is more intense and has better restraints.
I love the banshee diamondback, and flight of fear

#14: great pumpkin coaster- i didnt get a chance bc im too tall without a child to ride so i had to skip it so… last place
#13: flying ace aerial chase- same as a this person said
#12: racer. most painful ride in the park. backseat on beast is smoother. OUCH
#11: woodstock express- good ride for a kiddie coaster
#10: invertigo. i will take time out of my day to skip this ride.
#9: adventure express- good, but small and a letdown.
#8: the bat- i just found it a little boring.
#7: backlot stunt coaster- my favorite ride as a kid! first part plus the launch is SUPER FUN.
#6: the beast- rough, but i like the coaster in the middle of the car, where it isnt on the wheels. i also love the two lift hills.
#5: flight of fear- fun, not really intense other than launch though :( BUT SUCH GOOD THEMING!
#4: banshee- definitely a rattle, but nonetheless still one of the most fun rides at the park.
#3: diamondback- it used to be my favorite until i rode orion. now it seems so small😂
#2: mystic timbers- arguably the best theming in the park (along with orion). best wooden coaster that i have ever been on. also i recommend the back on mystic timbers. AMAZINGGG AIRTIME.
#1: orion: i rode it twice yesterday and oh my gosh. insane airtime, such high speeds, and it was so smooth. everything you could want from a coaster.
I have banshee a lot higher in the top four but for the most part this ranking is very agreeable also a big fan of racer
I have a fun story to tell for Flying Ace Aerial Chase. The first time I rode it I was scared to death and yelled "STOP THE RIDE!!"
The very back of the flight of fear has the most room! I’m 6’3 and that’s the only place I could fit comfortably or sit at all😅
I get it, that some people will feel different things with coasters, depending on many factors, including our height. Some of us are bothered by things that others aren't. You don't want to know how low I put Diamondback. I'm a bit torn between Banshee, Beast, and Orion for my current favorite, with Mystic Timbers not too far back. Vortex is still my favorite Kings Island coaster.
I can't argue with your reasonings. We all have our own preferences.

Because very back on both sides with near 2 inches of room is insane
To each his own, love the video as always but damn my list would definitely be way different. I've never quite understood the "rattle" argument if it doesn't actually affect the train much (and just makes an unpleasant sound). Diamnondbacks hill has the worst 'rattle' of any coaster I've ever ridden, and it's always rated as the best B&M Hyper, so I just dunno 🤷♂️🤣
My favorite is Italian job because I love mini coopers and are made by one of my favorite car brands BMW! And I was around When it was called Italian job And the bat play top gun music when I was called that for Diamond back I thought my mom was gonna die for some reason

Flying Ace is a kiddy version of the Banshee.
Bat is much more underated due to it being in the back of the park.

@@tyrone975 yeah, ki is stacked with great coasters. It's such a shame that roughness is a turnoff for me, because I got one smooth ride during haunt and it was insane.

I understand the ranking of these because of the cons about it but, banshee and flight of fear are one of the best. I live by k8ngs island and haven’t been able to ride or on yet but 8m looking forward to it
