Yoooo! I just finished watching another of your WR and bam, that just comes up online. Funny thing is, I discovered your channel today lol. Congrats, that’s insane gameplay here.
shicken never has to do gargoyle titian ever again, meanwhile some unknown speed runner practicing it for 10 days strait does a run get it first try and kills shickens wr 1 month later. lmao I doubt that actually happens but congrats on getting wr
Congrats, Shiken! Question: Is there any reason in particular that Asylum Speedruns start with the first combat section, and not at the beginning in the corridor with Joker? Mainly asking because, with the new Zelda game, speedruns start during the opening, which is also pretty much just an overly long interactive cutscene like Asylum’s intro. Is that for any reason, or is it just how this game’s speedrun rules are?
We allow skipping the intro because it's effectively an autoscroller that involves zero skill, and not having to walk in a straight line for 6.5 minutes at the beginning of every single attempt just makes the game *way* better, especially for Any% where it's like over 10% of the run time. Cutting out parts of the game can be a little dodgy and some game's communities are understandably not comfortable with that, but we voted on it a couple years ago and decided that this was a good compromise for us
Bro I say if you have to suffer it so do we. I want you to start walking. A-you share the suffering B-I dewar my friend skipped the BOO jump scare from joker C-please show it all
Hey shiken congrats on the run but i always wondered how you do the glitch at the start of the run with the riddler trophy Edit:nvm i read your reply to another comment
Hey, ShikenNuggets. I watched your Captain America: Super Soldier Speedrun WR Video, and I was curious about something. Is the category still up and running?
The trophy duping glitch we do near the beginning of the run to get extra XP messes up the counter, and Riddler's dialogue is just based on the counter
@@ShikenNuggets You know where you played it so much you could make it look like a movie becuase it would be like Batman himself would be playing it. Everytime you enter a room, you immediately know where to go and seamlessly get their, perfect combos and stealth gameplay. That'd be sweeeeeeeeet.
It's a glitch called trophy duping. The button for picking up trophies is bound to the mousewheel, then I spin the mousewheel really fast as I walk into a trophy. Works best with free-scroll wheels.

@@ShikenNuggetsi wish I had a mouse to do mouse and controller on the Speedrun. Been speedrunning the game for a bit cause it's one of the only games that works on my PS4. I can usually average abt 3 or 4 maybe 5 hours. Maybe I can learn something new in this Speedrun. Never seen someone Speedrun the first game always saw speedruns on city
I wanna watch this guys run but I hate the way he treats his viewers, like a viewer asked for a tip for his first run and he says “ I don’t know what you want me to say “ how about recommending using keyboard or controller ? How about advising on how to properly switch from one to the other and when to switch etc. like I actually admire the skill for this run but I can tell his personality is shitty to be around like bruh
This game is almost exclusively preference on keyboard vs controller, so that's not useful. There's no real technique for how to switch, you just do it. When you should do it depends on what you're gonna use each one for, because it's preference. A lot of this also just doesn't really matter for people doing their first run. I know you're just giving examples, but even your examples demonstrate that it's not that easy to just give out a random one sentence piece of information that'll actually be helpful. There's a lot of nuance to this stuff. In my experience, when people ask for "tips", they either don't really know what they're asking for, or they just can't be bothered to formulate a real question. Either way, I can't be expected to read their mind to figure out what I should tell them, and I'd rather just be direct about that than say something dismissive or useless like "go fast" like most people do. I'll admit I haven't always been the nicest to chatters, but this specifically is a weird hill to die on
dude I didn't even know this community was still going but that's awesome to see imma watch the whole thing for nostalgia and amazement lol
Ive seen you grind for this WR for so long, glad to finally see you claim it!

The fact that we never got one of these games completely from Joker, Harley, Scarecrow, Riddler, or Hush's perspective is just criminal.
fantastic run. love this beautiful game
Congrats, well deserved!
