Awesome job well done Very professional job and even though you may have had a few areas that in your words "Aren't perfect" It was a job well done Congrats
"I doubt anyone would notice, probably just me because I know it's there." Doesn't that just drive you nuts? When I do something, no matter how small an imperfection is, it always draws my attention. Excellent job, rifle looks awesome. Thanks for the great vid.
Very nice and who cares if people crap on the chose. For your first time, it looks better than some of the professional ones I have seen. I think one of the reasons it looks so good is because you chose to roll each item instead of just slowly lower fit through the ink. For the ones that were only slowly lowered, the ink ends up looking stretched across the firearm parts.
Well I went to your page first because you popped up first lol I want to start a small business doing this owning a shop and this helps out a lot thanks for the tips in rolling. .
joshuaburks love the video man, you did a fantastic job on it all...the only thing that you really didn't specify was how to keep the water in the tank at a constant temperature throughout the whole dipping process. I love the skulls though and all in all keep up the good work I am about to dip some car parts your video is definitely the most informative and was perfect step by step instructions.
Nice job one tip when you submerge don't roll just take it from the top and dip it with a little anger like this \ and dip it slowly and you see a better dip I just a suggestion don't be mad
You say its not for hunting but that actually makes for a great arctic/winter pattern. A white material wrap on the barrel and a scope, perfect for a snowy/rocky terrain. :)
Awesome man, first time looks great, I gonna be doing my first dip on motorcycle parts in a week. I to have watched many videos on this, and this one I think I like the best
Awesome It is amazing process, the crazy part is I just purchase a dip kit from dipwizard and did my ar and some other things. I will say your mag turned out better then mine I had a heck of a time with trapped air on the mags.
I'm planning on doing this to my Harley and my wife wants to buy a hot tub. As I'm watching your video I can't help but think I should do it in her new hot tub. Good idea?
The pistol grip was the hardest because it was among the first pieces you did. My problem with gloss finish is it feels sticky or tacky even when its dry.
Josh,, absolutely job well done, very impressed. Rolling the pieces instead of straight dipping is that for better coverage ?? I'm actually going to try the Enamel spray painting directly to the waters surface for a small job,,Once again Nice video..
thanks for the video... I am interested in hydro dipping my nerf guns leopard and zebra print lol. I think I will use the kit from this company, thanks again :)
joshuaburks, Excellent tutorial video! I found it very informative. I plan on doing a Hydrographics dip kit on my Mosin Nagant MNAR Bullpup conversion I purchase to from Center Balanced Rifle Platform Systems. I plan on doing the skulls myself, except I've opted for the "See No Evil, Hear no evil, speak no evil" skulls. I plan on doing a three or four color camouflage coloration underneath though, because I plan on using this to hunt deer with. I've also opted for the matte clear coat at the end. One question, when you did the forend assembled, did you have to take a razor blade to cut where they edges met together? Because I'm wondering for my own purposes if I can do it assembled or if I have to disassemble every part on the entire stock and dip them individually.
Excellent tutorial, did you have enough film to do all the parts that were dipped? Approximately in feet and or inches how big is the roll of film. Thanks for sharing.
I don't have exact measurements of how much material was left over but it was a lot, I could do at least another full rifle and probably too with the material that was left over
can u dip the lower reciever in this stuff? if so do u have to worry about it getting on the inside of the receiver where it could mess up with the metal to metal contacts?
Hi. I purchased the clear and activator from mydipkit. But they didn't supply any info with it... Now I am doing this a little different. I using all duplicolor automotive spray paint from cans. But my question is on using 2k clear as it's more durable.... But here was what I originally posted Hi.. I'm in Canada.. Wondering if you can lend any advice on diy hydro dipping.... Mostly I'm interested in how to use 2k clear.... I was told it can cause paint to run unless fully cured.... Now I was told to let fully cure. Then wet sand. Then 2k clear.... But I don't wanna sand my hydrographic design... Plus I should mention I'm using all spay cans. Not 2 parts from gun. So after my hydro dip... Wait an hour. Clear with one part enamel clear. Then let dry and cure. Then sand clear and apply 2k clear?
Deadsparrowstattoo Redmon well in all honesty i don't use this rifle often, so it is still pristine, keep in mind i may only have a few hundred rounds through it since hydrodipping, it shows wear on the mag where the release drags on the side, but all in all it is holding up fine.
Bro. your great for a "first timer", well done video, very informative.....now I know what I am doing to my AR, you have inspired me to the point where I can't wait to start. Thank you for the great video and the top-notch information. Super congrats for you time....
The activator dose not melt the film..the film is water soluble and the ink is oil base..the activator turns the paint back into a liquid. .nice job tho
jesse delcorpo i mean to be able to do all those parts? I make mods for vaping and this is going to make making the look sick an easy task. I already make beast mods that have power but i am not one for fancy stickers and shit but this is beautiful man. You had me at the beginning
One of the best step by step teachers I've seen on RUclips!! You need to post more videos.
Josh this is the best video I have seen on dipping your own project. I was holding my breath along with you at some points...lol
Thanks for the video!
...only just discovered this video, thanks for the insight, the graphics are sic hope they still sell this pattern, cheers mate!
Great job, used some of your techniques when doing my AR. Went with the rattlesnake pattern. Very impressed. 👍👍
Don't roll it. U just dip it. Rolling it will cause the material on the one side to roll back into to the image already on the part
You did an amazing job, for the 1st time. You got me thinking about trying it out!!
Devin Millford haha I'm the same way, doesn't matter how good it looks all I can stare at is my little mistake that no one else would notice
Very nice and who cares if people crap on the chose. For your first time, it looks better than some of the professional ones I have seen. Excellent video!!! Nice Job!! Thanks for sharing!
Nice job. That mag looks sharp and i cant believe how well that stock turned out. Amazing.
Who cares what others think. If you like it. That's all that matters. It's your project. Good job!!!!
Well I went to your page first because you popped up first lol I want to start a small business doing this owning a shop and this helps out a lot thanks for the tips in rolling. .

Very good job. LOVE THE SCULLS!
The Skills are what makes it yours Looks good I am going to give it a try
Top man everything i wanted to know covered keep up the good work
Great job. Probably the best tutorial I've seen. It's been 4 years now, so was curious how well its help up?
Great Job Man... Nothing Goofy about it, everyone has their own Style.
awesome job ... your video is really inspiring me to do it myself !!
Wow came out great! Im gonna have to buy a kit and do all my interior and engine pieces on my svt cobra.
Nice job one tip when you submerge don't roll just take it from the top and dip it with a little anger like this \ and dip it slowly and you see a better dip I just a suggestion don't be mad
Looks good! Thanks for the video!

How did the bike turn out and how is it.holding up?
Awesome It is amazing process, the crazy part is I just purchase a dip kit from dipwizard and did my ar and some other things. I will say your mag turned out better then mine I had a heck of a time with trapped air on the mags.
Great job man! Enjoyed your video
Excellent tutorial techno brow! Thank you!
Great job,I think ill try it,Thanks for the info.
Thanks, that was very interesting.
Nice job and I like it.
Thanks for a great video. You explain it so well. Did you ever scuff the primer also or isn't that necessary?
Excellent job. Thanks!
awesome brother!
Great job thank you for showing
Awesome job mate.
I'm planning on doing this to my Harley and my wife wants to buy a hot tub. As I'm watching your video I can't help but think I should do it in her new hot tub. Good idea?
It's a great idea, you might be sleeping on the couch for a couple days, but I'm sure it's worth
Good job. Great tutorial.
did any one else notice ink floating on top of film before you dipped? Was that due to temp of water?
Thanks for the information. How durable is it will it wear off easily or can it be scratch easily. Thank you.
Very nice very nice besides the grip phucking awesome. Try doing your upper and lower a different color or scheme
The pistol grip was the hardest because it was among the first pieces you did.
My problem with gloss finish is it feels sticky or tacky even when its dry.
awesome dude like the the gun looks i think im gonna do that kno
Good video dude.. Have you did anymore videos ?
Josh,, absolutely job well done, very impressed. Rolling the pieces instead of straight dipping is that for better coverage ?? I'm actually going to try the Enamel spray painting directly to the waters surface for a small job,,Once again Nice video..
thanks for the video... I am interested in hydro dipping my nerf guns leopard and zebra print lol. I think I will use the kit from this company, thanks again :)
joshuaburks,

looks really nice.
@joshuaburks How well has the dip withstood shooting and general wear over time? Nice video and outcome. It looks like it was professionally dipped.
awesome video! Great job.
How is it holding up after 2 years now? Great video, you've inspired me so far, thanks.
+Ken Dougal ... and with how much use? thx.
Quick question...how does the mag do cycling through the platform? Any wear, scuffs, or problems with fit? Thanks for the video.
Looks awsome.
HOW'S THE PAINT HOLDING UP? IS IT DURABLE? GREAT VIDEO
Nice job man
How did you hold the 2 halves of the handguard together on the wooden dowel?
right on dude! good job!
i really like this one
Awesome job, one question. You took parts in the house to "rinse", did you just run hot water over them or submerge them or how did you do that?
I just ran warm water over them for a couple minutes each until the slimy gloss was gone then let them air dry
you run warm water over them bro
Excellent tutorial, did you have enough film to do all the parts that were dipped? Approximately in feet and or inches how big is the roll of film. Thanks for sharing.
I don't have exact measurements of how much material was left over but it was a lot, I could do at least another full rifle and probably too with the material that was left over
+joshuaburks Thank you very much for the reply, one more question, there 3 available kits you can buy, was the $69, $99 or $169 kit. Thanks again.
can u dip the lower reciever in this stuff? if so do u have to worry about it getting on the inside of the receiver where it could mess up with the metal to metal contacts?
This is fucking nice bro got me thinking sbout doing it now
What type of kit did u start with entry kit or one of the others ?
how durable was this ? does it chip off like paint might after awhile ?
Very Nice!
Looks sweet
great video. i will be doing the same and was curious why you rolled all the items instead of dipping them long wise at an angle?
+SnowDog183 He probably did to get the full effect of the design. Just dipping it will kind of expand the design.
Also when you dip each side, you have a seam at the top and bottom

How come you didn't have tape around the film on the last piece?
Good job!
You should do the receivers.
The primer and base coat, are they oil based?
After all of these years, how us it holding up??
"Look at the gloss on that magazine" - Joshua Burks, 2015
How is the durability of the dipping after you where done?
it's not durable at all. You will need to clear coat it for durability.
"So proud of that dang butt stock" - Joshua Burks, 2015
nice job Thanks
the place around here that does this say parts really need a month at least to set has yours warn off any on the grip
Deadsparrowstattoo Redmon well in all honesty i don't use this rifle often, so it is still pristine, keep in mind i may only have a few hundred rounds through it since hydrodipping, it shows wear on the mag where the release drags on the side, but all in all it is holding up fine.
So what kind of paint is it enamel or acrylic
did you use fresh water after every dip or did you use the same water?
Used the same water for the entire process, all parts
Hella good video
nice job
hi, a quick question is the temperature of the water 70-80 degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit
+Asim Rahman Fahrenheit
+Hunter Horton nice one
Excellent
How well does it hold up ?
I need help with my stuff guys I need to know what kinda base coat is safe I'm using self etching spray paint right now
for how long do you dry it before you put the high gloss clear??
and another question when you rinse it do you need to dry it first? or you can rinse it after you print it?
+liz luhh I would wait until its dry
do you put the sticky side down or up on the film?
Down
good job bud
My film doesn't wasn't to stick to the part I'm dipping. It's definitely the right way up but it might b the gloss paint I'm using. Help please!!
Use a flat coloured base coat over your primer. U will achieve the gloss finish by using a gloss lacquer after you have dipped.....
Water transfer hydrographics film if you type that in on Aliexpress
it came out bad on a Handel but I can live with it 20 min later so I redid the gun grip
Would I be able to do this on a Xbox 1 controller shell?
Nope.
Sure gotta take it apart as electronics don't mix with water lol
Time to Hydro Dip the gasifier. ;-)
Bro. your great for a "first timer", well done video, very informative.....now I know what I am doing to my AR, you have inspired me to the point where I can't wait to start. Thank you for the great video and the top-notch information. Super congrats for you time....
I want that on my new 50bmg
The activator dose not melt the film..the film is water soluble and the ink is oil base..the activator turns the paint back into a liquid. .nice job tho
what kit did you get?
jesse delcorpo i mean to be able to do all those parts? I make mods for vaping and this is going to make making the look sick an easy task. I already make beast mods that have power but i am not one for fancy stickers and shit but this is beautiful man. You had me at the beginning
awesome
I did my magazine first too just now. It was a disaster.
all you need is a bayonet with a dipped handle and scabbard.
yo can i get a link to there site plz
Actually the pistol grip is noticeable.
good job dude. however that mask is not made for that. its a dust mask. Does nothing for hydrocarbons :/. May as well chunk that lol
