  • Over the past year, you and your team have likely built up a large body of materials in Google Drive. Sharing is great, but it can lead to problems in terms of file management, particularly with a large team. This session provides some "tips and tricks" for solving some of the problems associated with sharing cloud based documents. These include:
    1. Set up a dedicated course SQU Gmail account for “owning” all of the course documents. I’ll show you how to request one.
    2. Find/create clean “master” copies of all documents and get them into that dedicated course Google Drive. There are several ways to do that. I’ll show you some and explain their advantages & disadvantages so you can choose what works best for you.
    3. Use force copy template URLs to share the materials so teachers can use and edit them without touching the master copies.
    4. Share those URLs with teachers in a spreadsheet/website/Moodle so teachers can access them easily and you can edit them easily. I’ll show you some options for that and discuss the differences.
