- Mic Ghia and his friends from Dutch Dub Club visited us with his Volkswagen Karmann Ghia from 1967. It is a complete restoration car with lots of cool accessories! A real eye-catcher, enjoy!

This sure touched a soft spot with me. My first car was a '67 Ghia. I tricked it out with Porsche-style wheel covers. a two-barrel Zenith carb, centrifugal advance distributor, and an extractor exhaust system.

I had a 67 it was stolen loved the car. we boared out the pistons put headers on it. The interior was restored to original except for the dash which I had painted black along with interior trims and engine comparymen. we replaced the undercarriage at the time lacquer was the paint to use 4 coats candy apple red and a clear coat. All the paint and body was at our family shop got it nice and straight.
The car did really good at Hialeah race track near Miami but I really didn't want to race it. We did leave other VW's and some 914's and 240z's in the rear view. It performed real well.

soo simple, but yet soooooo tight... very clean, very smooth. there's so many things you can do with a gas but that one is just perfect Porsche alloys dual carbs and slam to the ground That's my kind of Ghia. How many horses, and how many CC's?

Beautiful Ghia. Hard to find in Az. Guess the BRZ is the new Ghia, slow but pretty. Not finding fault or criticizing. Cram a 2.5 Porsche motor in there and all bets are off.

The stance looks unfortunate due to how front wheels look recessed compared to the rears. The porsche rims are also kind of out of place, Ghias had decent OE 8-spoke alloys as-is. Everything else looks very well done, 8/10 restomod.

Nice car....But not a 67. They are easy to spot by the ignition. This one is a 68 or 69 hard to tell by the video.

No disrespect, but not a 67. Those had the ignition key in the dash which was covered with faux wood, not lacquered metal. Unless you did not restore appropriately. Got a chassis number? (Just saw that someone else already noticed...)

My mom used to have a yellow 82’ giha, she’d have to hit the engine with a hammer to start it but oh well.
Why would you waste your time putting dual carbs and distributor but no header? Exhaust is the most important part of making dual carbs and ignition work together. Dual carbs and ignition are useless without a freeflowing exhaust. It's like putting a 4 barrel carb and manifold on a small block Chevy with no headers. Makes no sense. The car is nice, though. Yes, I'm in So. Cal. and worked at both Johnnys Speed and Chrome as well as Small Car Specialties before both went out of business. The cal look VW scene is coming back in Cali but it's now finally considered a legit classic car and has become quite expensive to build a nice Cal bug. I used to buy oval window bugs for 700 dollars. Now that's history. People ask stupid ridiculous prices for any 67 and earlier type 1, 2, and 3 vws. I NEVER dreamed a bus would sell for 200,000 at Barrett Jackson. Wow. Times have changed.
Way cool V-dub, 964 flat six engine in it with an automatic and I would drive it every day.

I gotta tell you though, I would never use Porsche emblems on my ghia, to me it's like putting Harley emblems on a Honda Shadow. It was also painful to sit through that music to look at such a pretty machine.

Nice ride beautifully done car , but it has a serious flaw wich makes it look cool but that front end way to low I see damage in the horizon! Strictly a show car if you ask me ! But it is nice , the engine bays on ghias are great for working on the engine lots of room !
