We are visiting Marmaris in the summer. Debating on whether to take cash or stick it all on Monzo. When shopping in the Bazaar, would you recommend cash or card, and what currency should we be taking/paying with? Thanks
We brought the majority of our cash in English pounds as you get a better rate for them in the resort. We changed them into lira for restaurants and bars for food and drinks. When buying clothes we got the best value for our money when purchasing in pounds. We did use a Monzo for a few purchases but they changed it to pound so was not really any benefit to using it.
I should of said everywhere will change your pounds to lira, corner shops, restaurants and bars all change it. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy the beautiful country of turkey
We like the bars up in armutalan such as the trotters bar. We also really enjoy vamos on the beach front as they had a nice jetty on the sea. There is also some really good bars around the marina. We never went to bar street as it isn't our scene. It's a younger crowd and very expensive
You definitely have to shop around as some that are better than others. They are still 10 pounds each and we have ones from last year that are still good now.
We got the the football shirts from the shop facing tasty bites by the football bars. Towels are available in most shops don't pay any more than £9 .They have shops which provides sports footwear up and down the strip
Yeah they have all kinds diesel, true religion, Levis they start from around £15-35 depending on brand and style. They will even take them up for you free of charge. We just got loads in Vegas at the start of the year so that's why we didn't buy them this time 😂
@@HangoversHandpays Oh that’s pretty decent then. Oh so you got the real deal in Vegas then, can’t fault ya - with the current exchange rate they might end up cheaper buying Levi’s in 🇬🇧 than 🇺🇸 🤣🙈
@@Matrix2021 the exchange rate is a killer at the minute. We were lucky enough to bring some dollars home from the last trip so that will help slightly, fingers crossed it improves soon though 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Hi just subscribed to your vlogs watching your vlogs on turkey I noticed that you went in September we’re going in September this year what was the temperature like when you was there during September and are you going back there this year.
The temperature was perfect. It was low to mid 30s during the day then mid 20s at night. Yes we are going back in July. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing to our vlogs ❤️.

This was 2022, we've always said we will pay what we think is a fair price. We tend to only purchase the higher quality items now as we've been going to turkey for years and can spot which items will last more than a few washes. Thanks for watching
We paid for the majority in British pounds as the deal always seemed better in pounds. Somethings we paid for items on a Monzo card which was in lira but Monzo give you the bank rate that day so if the guy in the shop was quoting 10 quid Monzo only charged me £9.70. The Monzo card had no commission either so good to have as an alternative to cash.
@@paulam6182 you can pay in sterling, Turkish lira, euros or dollars everywhere. They just work it out on the daily rate and the bars and restaurants will change your sterling to lira if you wish.

Yes, take everything in sterling then change when you get there. All the small supermarkets and bars will change for the best rate. We were getting 40 lira to £1 las week.
Yeah they are fake but there are some better fakes than others. In our experience with these items however they have lasted longer than some places such as Primark and are often similar prices. Thanks for watching 😁

We saw them for 25 - 40 pounds depending on the size last year. We will be updating this in July with this year's prices 😁

All the shops in Marmaris sell fake goods this is the way it is in Turkey. In the UK we do buy genuine goods
