I was a sailor/ deep- helmet diver, on large vessels for 10 years, and used mostly larger lines, or wire cable. For little things, we used 1/4 in nylon, by the spool. I always care for line, and SAW this "hank" on sailboats, and small vessels, but never learned it. * Particularly good to secure lines, on a railing, to dry in the Sun.
There's a big difference between owning a sailboat and sailing a sailboat. I hope you do both. Someone gave me a sailboat because he never used it. I sailed it a lot, for many years but now I just own it too
A suggestion: replace the last half hitch with a buntline hitch with a slipped bight. It will hold the coil tighter and just need to pull the working end to undo.
It looks like an alpine butterfly knot. I think the bight is pulled through is reverse to a traditional AB knot in order to capture the coil. I also think the last wrap around the bight is not quite right. It mirrors the first loop instead of being opposite. Very cool method to capture a coil though.
Nice neat way to coil a rope. Now if I could just remember it when I need it.
Lol

Wow!
What’s the size of the rope?
❤🎉🤠
Don't coil double braid or kernmantle rope. Fold it.
Aka, "rope origami"
Great knot but man the crucial twists are done way too fast for an instructional video. Nice work tho ☘️
I agree, but you can change the playback speed to a slower setting.
Nice ty
Why make it so complicated? 😅
What the name this music🤔
Does this really damage extension cords or is that a myth
tighy radius damages the wire
hmmm this does appear to be practical indeed
what is the name of that knot?
That's the forbidden question, the answer of which the content provider doesn't want you to know.
