Mine was OBNOXIOUSLY loud!...I mean...people in parking lots would shoot me a funny look... I found mine right behind my drivers rear bumper...I had an old NECK foam pillow I wasn't using and stuffed it in between the alarm and bumper...worked perfectly...and nothing around it that would cause a fire hazard...now the alarm is so soft...its...its...its....BEAUTIFUL music to my ears!
I disconnected my wire yesterday. It should go to a square/round box looks like a speaker ect. There was one screw that had the wire connected. I took it off and zip tied it to another wire. Just in case it ever needs to be used again. It’s a bitch backing up especially when you’re leaving the house early in the morning. 😂 👌🥃
Yeah you picked the right wire! Red is positive black is negative also known as ground on most add on electrical accessories. This is not generally the case with factory wiring as it can be any colour as they use different colours to identify individual circuits with a corresponding diagram. The metal body of the vehicle is connected to the ground for simplicity as for some things one long positive wire can be run while only needing a shorter negative wire from the item being powered attached to the body. You will often see a few negative ground wires connected to the body at a metal stud with a nut. For this reason any positive wiring that is bare can short circuit to bare metal of the vehicles body. If you ever remove battery cables from the battery, you should always unhook the negative terminal first as tools attached to positive terminal may short on metal bodywork if it is removed first. Sorry I'm blabbing on and probably nobody cares 🤣
not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream pretty much all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last weeks :)
This is ridiculous. You can tell the van is backing up the same way you can with any other vehicle. Most cars dont have backup alarms but that doesn't suddenly cause people to crash into them. The alarm is really there because of the poor visibility, but you can just install a rear camera and/or give 2 short honks before you backup.

Youre amazing! Thank you. Just cut the wire to mine. Worked great. Now it doesnt work. Ha!
Thanks!
You don't need to cut it... just disconnect the clip!!!
That’s a good location in case you need to “uncut” the “cord”...DUH!!
I wouldn't permanently disable it ( probably illegal ). I am going to put a relay on it for use when backing my own driveway.

@Merrick Finley yup, have been watching on InstaFlixxer for years myself :)
@Merrick Finley Yea, I have been using instaflixxer for months myself =)
Lol its not illegal to disable it
that's why many people crash with other car , when backup in parking lot, nobody know when YOU backup. especially that big car.. BE CAREFUL

Watching ignorance in action can be painful. This video was painful to watch.
