This would've been a great video vs. A good video if the author would've slowed it down at some points so the viewer could actually see where the contacts were made on the brush contact area in relation to where the winding was being made. Things are moving around way too much and the authors fingers are in the way too much. Maybe some lead-in information on the plan and how to count out where the windinings go and how to determine that on your own.
Does the wire on the last loop attach to the same commutator plate that the first loop started from? Or does it stop at the last open commutator plate? Also what size wire is that. I see 40, but is that AWG?

The brushes might be worn or bad contact between brushes and a commutator. Try to replace brushes
yes.. the brushes did have bad contact with the end part of the motor which was covered with black 'dust'.. i rub it till it got shining.. now it is not so bad.. thank for your help.
@@zakkimo249 the mica being too high could also cause smoking and sparking, so make sure the grooves are good in the commutator if it happens again.

Hello. Each winding is 50 turns as shown. How many turns was the original winding? Also is the magnet wire used #40 or gauge 40? A gauge 40 magnet wire is as fine as a human hair.

Do you use thicker wire to make it more powerful or just use same thinness ?
you must use the same gauge wire from the original wiring, and you must have the exact same amount of turns, or it won't work right. Also DO NOT forget to varnish and bake the windings before running it. honestly I'd just take it to a shop if I were you.

I like to reuse a small 12V motor 10 amp(from portable tire compressor). From your comment I guess I can change rewind to twice turns, half thick gauge wire to work at 24V (I guess with half current)

@@arturomendez7945 you may have less torque this way. On another hand the motor may support more voltage and produce a higher rpm. But to give exact values and numbers, You ll have to do some calculations that I honestly don't master well.

He did 50, but count the number of turns on your motors coil as you undo one, then cut the rest. Rewind with the same guage of wire, same number of turns, same pattern until you're done.

Wind turbines use generators, they mostly share the same parts but work differently. So yes if that generator needs a armature rebuild. But at that point most places go buy a new generator
