Beautiful beautiful song.....play this a lot. Gorgeous vocals of EP ❤️⚡💯
ELVIS i will always and FOREVER LUV YOU❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I imagine Elvis singing this in a church full of worshipers. Powerful!!
Sorry to hear that YT has taken down some of your videos Seph.😞We appreciate you!
Very beautiful. Once again a heartfelt and inspirational prayer from EP. His voice is amazing. His top register is sublime! Tks Seph. 2x banger. 🥇🥇
That is an old gospel song, done beautifully by the beautiful Elvis. Control is everything when you sing in that high range. He was remarkable. Thanks Seph.
Another Banger!!! Beautiful!! Just Beautiful!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤!
One of my favorite gospel songs by Elvis!
The lyrics resonate with me, when you think how the little things we say or do in our everyday life, can impact negatively on someone else, without us even knowing. Elvis sings this with great humility & the tone of his voice gives me chills everytime.
Happy that you liked it too Seph 👍😊❤
His range on this is amazing and sung beautifully as usual, but not one of my favourites.
Thanks, as always, love your reactions.
One of my favorite Elvis gospels.
Here are the lyrics:
If I have wounded any soul today, If I have caused one foot to go astray
If I have walked in my own willful way, Dear Lord, forgive
Forgive the sins I have confessed to Thee, Forgive my secret sins I do not see
Oh guide, watch over me and my keeper be
Dear Lord, forgive
Definite BANGER! Any gospel from The Elvis is fantastic! His voice... such control. ❤
This is one of my favorite gospel songs. Very operatic and melodic and something that most singers could not handle. "If I should cause one's foot to go astray."
Yay back to a double 💣💣 lovely song and lyrics - Elvis just thrived on gospel songs - just amazing 👑⚡⭐
Banger banger banger listen to this song alot
3rd Comment: Charles Hutchinson Gabriel (August 18, 1856 - September 14, 1932) was an American composer and lyricist of gospel songs and gospel tunes. He is said to have written and/or composed between 7,000 and 8,000 songs, many of which are available in 21st century hymnals. He used several pseudonyms, including Charlotte G. Homer, H. A. Henry, and S. B. Jackson.
Charles Hutchinson Gabriel was born in Wilton, Muscatine County, Iowa on August 18, 1856 and raised on a farm. His father led singing schools in their home, and young Charles developed an interest in music. It is said that he taught himself to play the family's reed organ.[2] Even though he never had any formal training in music, he began to travel and lead his own shape note singing schools in various locations around the age of 17.
His musical talent was well recognized in his boyhood home of Wilton. There is one folklore story, that the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Wilton (Pastor Pollock or McAulay) once saw Gabriel walking in town early in the week. He asked Gabriel if he knew a good song to go along with his sermon. The pastor shared the sermon topic and by the end of the week the boy had written a song for that Sunday, words and music. The Rev. N. A. McAulay was a pastor at the Wilton church for many years, and it is also said that young Gabriel wrote the music for one of McAulay's songs. The song, "How Could it Be," was later published in Songs for Service, edited by Gabriel, with the music being credited to "Charles H. Marsh," possibly one of Gabriel's pseudonyms.
Eventually he served as music director at Grace Methodist Episcopal Church, San Francisco, California (1890-2). While working at Grace Church, he was asked to write a song for a mission celebration. He wrote "Send the Light", which became his first commercial song. He moved to Chicago, Illinois, and in 1912 he began working with Homer Rodeheaver's publishing company.
Gabriel was married twice, first to Fannie Woodhouse, which ended in divorce, and later to Amelia Moore. One child was born to each marriage.
He died in Hollywood, California on September 14, 1932, aged 76. Gabriel wrote an autobiography titled Sixty Years of Gospel Song (Chicago, Illinois: Hope Publishing Company, undated).
He was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1982.

Beautiful Gospel song!❤ELVIS high notes incredible!
My Mom said she used to say this prayer at bedtime as a child. She was not really an Elvis fan, but she said Elvis sang it beautifully when I played the record. (She is no longer with us). I think of Mom whenever I hear Elvis sing this.
May she rest in peace ❤️
Elvis at the top of of his game,as for the song na.
Good reaction beautifully sung Elvis gospel perfect
Amazing hymn Elvis sings it beautiful as usual ❤️
What’s even better then Elvis?
Elvis singing gospels. Lord have mercy
I’m sure he is also playing the piano on this track
No, it is either David Briggs or the Imperial’s Joe Moscheo on piano, or even both as they are listed as the pianists for this recording session.
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL SONG ❤❤❤
"Forgive my secret sins I do. Oooh, yeah. The secret sins, they are the ones you gotta beware. It's like some people, they be walking down the road and you think, 'Ah, yeah, he's a good boy, he is. He's a good boy.' Ah he ain't a bloody good boy! Ah, he's got them secret sins. Watch out for them!" (2:04) Oh, dear... 🤫
Hahaha yeah that one cracks me up!!🤣🤣🤣
"I never in the least mind what people do so long as they don't do it in the street and frighten the horses." - Lady Tree (don't ask me who she is; I just read this quote in a book once and I never forgot it.)
Thats gotta be a pretty old quote haha
@@SephPlays It's from the late 1800's if memory serves me correctly but am not entirely sure 😀
Todays version of that quote would probably be something like:
"People can do whatever they want as long as they don't do it in front of my house and spook my Roomba!" - Seph 2024

(I know. I'm playing 🎶Too Much🎶 boy I'll tell ya for sure!)
Will try to include additional songwriter info in a separate comment 😀👍
I agree Banger for sure one of his best off the He Touched Me gospel album.
Amazing gospel
And some high notes, cool
Psalm 121:3 "He will not let your foot slip -- he who watches over you will not slumber."
Proverbs 3:26 "for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared."
The Lyrics:
If I have wounded some poor soul today
If I have caused one foot to go astray
If I have walked in my own willful way
Dear Lord, forgive
If I have uttered idle words in vain
If I have turned aside from want or pain
Lest I offend some other through the strain
Dear Lord, forgive
Forgive the sins I have confessed to Thee
Forgive the secret sins I do not see
Oh, guide me, love me, and my keeper be
Dear Lord, forgive
Ok so you have about 200 left to react to then ;)
What do you think of his version of Green Green grass of home?
Tom Jones did the original version
1971? I do like the Christmas album. A lot of nice songs
Nice reaction Seph. Never really understood the removal of songs when they are interrupted several times, as one can't download and use them for homemade DVD's or CD's, but perhaps I am missing the point.
😂😂😂 i love imperial mints, And this song is Amazingly sung by Elvis. But again one i rarely listen to xx
If I have caused one’s foot to go astray.
One's foot to go astray.
Secret sins...😂🤣 For some reason, this one just doesn’t do it for me. Elvis' voice is beautiful as usual. So it must be something about the lyrics or arrangement that bothers me. Seph, you manage to never bother me, which is weird, but true. Your quirky and unique comments are the best.❤❤❤
CONGRATULATIONS ON 14.5K SUBSCRIBERS SEPH 🎉🎊🎆🎇🔥🙌💃🌹 WHOO- HOO!
Sooo... Gonna do anything special planned for when hit 15 K Seph?
This inquiring mind wants to know if I should dust off my 🎶Hi- Heel Sneakers🎶 for the celebratory 🎶Let's Have A Party🎶 announcement 🍻😄
Right, right, right, right. My how I do 🎶Run On🎶 Patience is a viiirttuuuee (imagine that in a sing- song voice ;p)
So gonna switch it up 🎶Just A Little Bit🎶 today.
First Up: Song Lyrics:
If I have wounded any soul today
If I have caused one foot to go
If I have lost in my own misery
Dear Lord forgive
Forgive a sin I have confessed to Thee
Forgive my secret sins I do
Oh God watch over me and my misery
Dear Lord, help me
- written by C. Maude Battersby & Charles Hutchinson Gabriel (1856- 1932).
While I did find info on Mr. Gabriel, I found really nothing about Ms. Battersby.
Almost nothing apparently is known about her except that it is believed that she penned the lyrics to "An Evening Prayer" sometime around 1895.
Charles. H. Gabriel was the composer of this tune and was apparently a *prolific* Gospel songwriter. (It's believed he wrote anywhere between 7,000- 8,000 Gospel songs within his lifetime).
"An Evening Prayer" was originally recorded by Homer Rodeheaver on September 10, 1913.
This song has since been covered by 27 artists in total.
Recording session info & more will be in separate comments 😀👍

LOVED YOUR MINTY COMMENT ABOUT THE IMPERIALS 😂
HERE- HERE!
TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤ & peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕
Hmmmm I'll have to come up with something for 15k and 20k in the faaaaaaaaarrrrrrr future haha
Wow 27 artists covered this song!?? Insane!
@@SephPlays I have a feeling you're gonna hit 15K sooner than you think you are Seph 😊
I dunno. One of the most covered songs ever (and yes Elvis covered it too but not until 1977 so you got a ways to go) has been covered 600+ times total since it's debut in 1955 (in a movie no less; but it would become a timeless classic after Bobby Hatfield of The Righteous Brothers covered it as a solo recording in either 1964 or 1965. Can't recall the exact year at the moment.)
Frick 600 times!????
@@SephPlays Yeeepppp... I think it was something like 636 times that particular has been covered.
Hi Seph,
As you are working your way through the
"Elvis Back In Nashville" Album, you will come to a song Called "It's Still Here"
Please Do This Version First....IMHO the Best Version.
Elvis Presley
"IT'S STILL HERE"
1971 Elvis At The Piano 🎹
ruclips.net/video/GZczCi5YaaY/видео.htmlsi=nkZn8wglJnFb7vG5
Eight hours into a recording session that started at 6 pm on May 19th, 1971, in Nashville, Elvis is sitting alone at the piano at 2 o'clock in the morning singing one of his favorites: Ivory Joe Hunter's "It's Still Here". He's been playing this for years at home planning to record it Sometime. This night, and understanding the magic of the moment, producer Felton Jarvis turns on the tape machine...........
❤❤❤
It's if I caused ones fit to stray. Not foot
It's really heartbreaking as I go through your back catalog and I come across a video where you reference another reaction that clearly has been removed. Or there's a clear gap in some of the songs from an album. And made even worse when I heard you say that most of those removed videos are gone forever because you have deleted the local copy.
Copyright removes *atleast* 2 videos of mine each and every day. If i left the channel for a couple of years i would come back with like half my videos deleted 😢
@@SephPlays Oh, flip! I clearly need to pick up the pace.
They removed alllllll my Beatles, Bee Gees and Queen, Erasure, yazoo, rammstein, ghost. They were all artists i started from the beginning with like im doing with Depeche, mj, elvis. I would say about 200 videos between them 😅 this channel used to be pretty diverse about a year ago
@@SephPlays Oh my Lord! And those are all gone now. No local copy. Those are your art!
COMFORT TO GO ASTRAY
The record companies should be paying you or even hiring you for highlighting their artists. Nope this song isn't for me.
They seem to despise me more then anything haha
I agree with you, Rob. This one just isn't for me, either.❤
