Putting Together a Press Kit as a Musician - a workshop with Ricky Castanedo Laredo (former Music Director at CJSF 90.1 and Art Coordinator at CiTR and Discorder Magazine).
Ricky Castanedo Laredo will use their knowledge of music and press, their experience as a juror and curator, and their skills with design software to provide attendees with a brief crash course on creating press kits that music directors and promoters will actually want to open. From what kind of information different entities will be looking for as they scroll through their unread lists, when (and how) to include a press photo, and even run through some accessible design tools to create press kits that shine among the waves of submissions that media reps are constantly immersed in.
