Swaying or non-swaying doesn't matter. I watch Christian RUclips videos not to critique but to worship Jesus. If I don't like the video, I minimize my browser and listen. Their message is clear to anyone who will listen: Our God is a mighty God who is with us before, during and after the storms of life. CBU University Choir and Orchestra, keep praising our Lord Jesus!
I didn't see any children in this video! Just adults are all I saw! Oh course they are someone's children though and some of them are thin enough to look like children, but I'm sure all adult students at a great Christian university!
The " swaying " shows how much they are enjoying the words and the message. I have always wondered about " rock steady " groups if they were working so hard to sing they did not have the words and message.
Here's a tip for anyone who comes across this video ... do NOT read the comments! Don't WATCH the video. Rather, just close your eyes and LISTEN to the message.
#1, Awesome song. #2 Sung by a group of wonderful young adults who obviously have their lives together their hearts in the right place and are worshiping God. #3, As someone already pointed out in a previous comment, all the movement is a distraction from your music and your message. Let your voices and the lyrics tell the story and don't distract the viewers and listeners with needless movement. Take a lesson from The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I'm not a Mormon, but I LOVE the Choir and have heard them in person twice and with the exception of one African hymn they performed with a drum accompanying them, they ALWAYS stand perfectly still and don't make the music about themselves, it's about the message and they don't distract the listener. Like the previous comment below, I found myself getting irritated by all the swaying back and forth and I couldn't just enjoy the song. I have also sung in a University Chorale at Bob Jones University and we traveled and performed many times and didn't find the need to "sway". It's a distraction, plain and simple.
It almost makes me dizzy to watch the video and the choir moves way too much. The sound is awesome, but just to watch it is kind of "mind-boggling." It's better to not look and just hear. BTW - you can barely hear the piano. Sad.
"Some of the contemporary music is being dumbed down?" How about some of that choir music you're doing there "Dr." Bonner? Certainly not high choral art by any means.
When my mother died of covid the words of this song helped so much. This is a beautiful rendering of it. Thank you
Wonderful to hear and listen that this much of people dedicate themselves to praise the Almighty God of Isreal.

These children are so beautiful as they sing with smiles...."The joy of the Lord is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10).
Great. Praise God.

@@d.schoepflin2247 At my advanced age college students ARE children to me.

In Loving Memories of my mother Felicita Diaz Pagan De Calderon Isaiah 40:31
Almighty God by Sandi Patty was very so much wonderful. His Excellent in power all creation speak His Majesty and this Choir and Orchestra too.

Beautiful.....
Fair their choirs.
How is this recorded? It's almost impossible to watch. It's like it's in kind of a slow motion. At least sound sounds great.
if you're asking "what's up with the swaying" you've obviously never been in choir.
It's a Southern Baptist thing! It comes with singing to much Contemporary Christian Music and singing to little Conservative Christian Music!

I would much rather see this group than a group of wooden ones showing no joy in the words. Just my humble opinion.
Who is that wonderful, handsome guy on the violin??
@2115Gren They're emoting. It's the "Bonner method" of compromising for proper technique and musicality.

Great Anthem, but whats up with the swaying? They look like there drunk.
Be gratefull for all the revenue for your daddy's bar😂😂
