I don't know about right now but in Florida at least when a hurricane comes through hot food is temporarily allowed on EBT. Not sure where you are or if that's still in effect. As difficult as it is I can understand why hot food is generally not allowed on EBT, it's cheaper to buy the ingredients and make your own food then to buy a meal. A late friend of mine was homeless and had EBT but of course no way to cook anything. He would go to Publix or Walmart delies and buy cold subs and other premade foods cold which is how he got by. Of course those in charge of these programs are so out of touch with the reality of how most people eligible for EBT live they simply don't understand. 😢

The schools are not usually the ones who are charging extra fees to parents who are adding funds to their child's lunch account. The fees are charged by the software companies that the school uses that charge fees for credit card & debit card transactions when parents use those methods to add money to their child's lunch account.
And yet your rent increased by $20 or more right??? It seems they try to keep you on assistance. They never allow you to get ahead so you may be able to come up and get off assistance. The system has been well designed to keep poor people poor, and which group do you think china will go after when they invade??? The poor of course!!! On the Ibotta Thanksgiving Day refunds that you can get you have to buy 62 things that will lock it in otherwise you don't get it back they've never done that in the past and I've been with Ibotta for a while now you have to buy something in the bonus area to get the bonus to get the Thanksgiving refund so if you can afford to buy 63 things that are on that list good luck happy for you
More than Royal Farms should Mark down cooked food for those using EBT,think about how much Subway and seven eleven throws away instead of marking down so people can buy it more affordable pricing.

Is it safe to reveal that info or can we mark over the SNAP number that may be showing to hide the number so we don't have to worry about revealing that info.
I have to pay to pay my Rent! You can only pay your rent online and the only way to not concur the fee is if you give your bank information to a third-party and that’s just outright crazy I don’t send anything to a third-party!

Do you happen to have opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities in your area? You might want to check with them. I had talked to the Social Security Office. They had recommended talking to them. Not sure if you have to be working and order to be eligible for any help through them though. I'm sure if you have to purchase this stuff prior to them helping you with us either.

Mine's the same way. I use it anyway as I don't want my rent to lapse. It's painless. Simple to use. And a lot of places for bills have gone to third party payment systems. If you are that concerned maybe you should get a debit card that you just load the money on for your rent. Then that way it doesn't have any impact on your rent being paid on time. There's plenty of debit cards that you can buy from like Walmart or Dollar General that you just add the money to it. It would just be a pain though because you would have to do that every month.

In Cali you can go to fast food places and use your ebt card
