    So it was quite a common request to review the swords I use most often. Which one would you like to see next?^^

      More sidesword reviews would be good, especially of budget options like HF Armory or Pike. Or just whatever you have

    Very nice feature this shortened grip, as it is one of the big flaws of modern sideswords, they have just too long grip compared to historical ones.
    Would definitely be interesting to see a review of a Kvetun sidesword by the way ;)

    It seems like there aren't a ton of budget options for Sideswords, even less so available in America
    It would be nice to see a video on good choices for different levels of Sidesword

    Thanks for the review. It seems like not a lot of Regenyei's trainers get talked about besides the feders.

    I use a customized version of the Firenze II (without the side ring like the Firenze I). Additionally, I requested the knucklebow to be a bit farther away from the handle such that I can actually fit my Sparringgloves in there, too :)

    Lovely sword, and congrats on that Gold Medal! …However belated that wish may be, haha.

    Hello Martin! I will probably change club and start practicing sidesword next year. What would you recommend between current regenyei options, namely "firenze narrow", "bolognese" and "firenze wide&fullered"? What about other entry level brands like Kvetun or Blackfencer? Those look better than regenyei tbh, but of course handling and durability are more important. Thanks in advance

      I'd probably still go with Firenze narrow. Kvetun's sidesword 1 handles nicely, but is now a bit more expensive. The Blackfencer Velox is quite nice, can't tell a lot about its long-term durability though (yet).

    Nice. Will the Infinity gloves fit into it?

      Very good question, yes! I added a glove section to the sword data :)

    If I were to have a wheel pommel on a side sword, what would be an ideal grip length in your opinion?

    • @SchildwachePotsdam
      @SchildwachePotsdam  3 года назад +2

      I actually very much enjoy to have the pommel within my hand. So I'd go with the same grip length

    Hi! I'm struggling to find any structured lessons online for bolognese sidesword and would really like to learn. Is there any way you would do zoom lessons/demonstrations?
    For a fee, of course

      I'll give it a thought, thank you! I recorded a full lesson plan yesterday - it should be ready to release in a bit over a week on monday 😊

    Hey, can I ask if you think it works well and manages opposing thicker blades? Regenyeis are usually tanks, as stated, but I'm getting one and wondering how well it will hold up against arming swords :) .

    • @SchildwachePotsdam
      @SchildwachePotsdam  2 года назад

      Should be fine since I am using mine vs. arming swords as well :)

      @@SchildwachePotsdam Just got the sword - I can second that it handles well! It's a good balance between nimble and tanky, not as sledgehammer as other Regenyei swords I've tried. Their narrow blade is well worth it, and mine flexes on 8 kg which is great!
