(Getting a good looking cork log hits different though 😌👌)
All my friends laugh at my car for being a heap of crap compared to theirs lol but my car does not bring me joy, I'd rather have animals lol

seeing this pop-up made me so happy because I haven’t watched you in a while and it made me tear up because I used to watch you every day when my rats were younger and now there’s only one of them left and it just made me so happy seeing you on my page

Can't believe I'm here so early! Thanks so much for your amazing videos, thanks to you my best friend was able to really improve her rat's setup.
With that many pets (and an obvious interest in staging, art, film-making, decorating, and all kinds of other things) she couldn't possibly be spending very much time with any one of them (or even one 'type'). (It looks like she [or someone, anyway] is keeping all the habitats very clean, which is great. Or at least cleaning them before filming!
The rats are ADORABLE, in any case, and your shots of them are lovely. 👍
"She" can read your comment. She also doesn't have a life outside of the animals, and does all of the cleaning herself. Thanks for the judgement though! I don't know how much art and decorating you think i'm doing that's taking time away from being a slave to my animals, but I can assure you it's hardly any. I work from home and they are my only hobby / interest

@@Emiology No, I didn't mean that at all. I meant time spent playing with and holding them (and just the rats -- some of the others are actually very happy with little to no human contact). But I was wrong! The rats' body language indicates *very* clearly that they're very used to being handled by you (which means they also adore you, cuz rats!). So keep up the good work -- care and videos!
I love seeing your pets so much!! They are such sweethearts. You bringing up how short-lived they are reminded me that I would love to see a video from you about how to cope with the death of pets with short life-spans like rodents, your personal experiences with it over it, your first rat death, etc. My rats are getting older and I am extremelyyyy attached to them and I just know it'll be crushing, and I don't have any rat parent friends IRL. Love your channel

I think it's the ginger in Hobble as my ginger boy Trixie is the same, my other boy Maze (who's a mix of black, brown and white) has soo much more common sense!!! 🤣🤔😻
I would like mice again as my last 2 hamsters passed last year after being 2½ years and 18 months (both rescued age 3 months and 6 months), and my 4 mice passed the year before (rescued at approx 1 so were roughly 2). I'm just waiting at the moment as I'm without a car at the moment so getting to places is a bit difficult.
Can you make a guide on mouse breeds/colours?
How do you manage having a cat (maybe soon 2) and prey animals? He seems pretty calm about the little animals, but his sister might not be. How did you teach him not to enter the room? Do you lock the door? Does he miss you when you're in the room and he is not?
I thought I would have to decide between having rats/mice or cats/dogs, but if there is any great method to keep them separate and happy I would love to know.
I have a video on it 😊 I trained him to be neutral and be rewarded when he showed no interest. It does 90% rely on his instincts or lack of strong prey drive and not every cat will be that unbothered, some cats might need a lock on the door if they jump that high. It’s the reason I got a kitten as you can somewhat shape them into the type of cat you want them to be (but cats will still be cats at the end of the day). Some people have their rats in their living room with cats and don’t have issues but I’d never risk it.
@@Emiology it's a stress on prey animals to even be housed together near the predator species. No matter the training.
@@aryastark3148 Many people have multi pet households with no issues, it's not uncommon. My mice and rats are housed in the same room and always have been, never seen any signs of stress from them due to this or when bringing in a new animal.
I like your rats and mice. They all come in a range of beautiful colors. I also like the multi pets thing. Having different animals together in one household seems interesting but it isn't for everyone, but I'm glad you're able to manage it. If I wanted to have a multi species household, I'd have 2 cats, a puppy, a fish, and maybe to add to that.. for a starter..maybe 2 rats or 4-5 mice. Thats just my choice but I wouldn't promise that. I'd have to manage their diets, bedding, vet bills/visits, exercising, individual care and attention, and interactions. Sounds like a lot but seems worth it. But if it got to be too much, then I'd narrow the number of pets down to only 3. Having 3 animals of different species (3 predatory animals and 1 prey animal) 3 would sound much easier and more manageable. But again, owning multiple pets isn't for everybody so I wouldn't recommend everybody try it but much respect to the ones, yourself included, who look like you have everything under control and don't feel too overwhelmed about it. I salute you. I mentioned that I like your rats and mice, but your cat is cute too.
what happened to the millipedes/centerpedes? i loved seeing everyone including the new mice as mice are my favourites
My last one died a few weeks ago! I'm not getting any more for now they just randomly die :/

@@Emiology I thought that male rats tend to be less playful. I was wondering if it’s likely for younger males like those to be more energetic and just outgrow it like all rats do or wether I was just wrong abt males being less playful
Babies tend to be! They’re 8 months now and seem to have kept their baby personalities / act more like energetic females than other males I’ve had 🥹

Not really, considering rodents don’t make up any part of her natural diet ☺️

Look on leopard gecko's youtube channel she documented the growth of hers over a year, but it can vary depending on genetics

What wood shavings are you using for your rats? I'm currently using kiln dried/dust extracted Aspen shavings but yours seems more fluffy and smaller pieces?
I love your kitten 😊Can I ask how did you deal with the single kitten stage when he was younger? I will be getting a kitten soon and everyone is advising that I get 2 because 1 young kitten can be terrible... now I'm nervous as I do not want 2 at this time. We are a big family of 6 children at home age 6-20
I didn’t have an issue, if I wasn’t at home all day every day without much of a social life I probably would’ve got two but he was and still isn’t really left alone 😊
@Emiology I work from home, and my kids are homeschooled, so we are home all day except for occasional errands, maybe once or twice a week😁
I have a rat/reptile room in my house. I have my rats, crestie, anole and aft gecko all in one spot. My rats always free roam at night when my crestie wakes up and he LOVES watching them play. He gets so active climbing to different spots in his enclosure trying to spot them and see what they’re doing 😂
I was kinda surprised to hear you say a 2 year old mouse was really old because I have only had one mouse that I got from a pet store that lasted until around 5 years of age! I am just now realizing how impressive that was because at the time I also didn't you should get 2 mice, so she didn't have any other mouse to interact with. (She was an albino and her name was Minnie)
