Yep, rescued 40... got them rehomed (as had 20 - 40 of our own rescues, to then end up rescuing and paying a ton for over 200 rats, for the rescue to take (they agreed) the next day, we then went and rescued way more and throughout adopting them out, some of them had actually adopted some of the 200 from that rescue :D, tbh it's the same with all pets, u end up having more than expected
They’re gorgeous but I agree they do look a little small for their age, what a surprise can’t wait to see what they make of the big cage and all the other rats. Exciting stuff.
It's great to see how U set up a cage and carefully handle unfamiliar rats. They appear to be excited, content, and pleased with their new environment and nutritional diet. I know they are very fortunate and lucky to be in your care. 😇
They are incredibly cute!! My last rescue was the same age when I got him (and he was severly injured because the shelter didn't care about introducing rats to each other before randomly putting them in a cage together) and he looked just as scared in the carrier. He became a super playful, sweet, curious and friendly rat though, intros went so well and he's doing great! I can't wait to see your new boys meet the others! ♥
I swear every rat we have was like "oh we just got another rat" and my husband's like "How?!?!!" We adopted a "problem rat" from the pound, he is missing a tail, but he is the best little boy ever and we named him Frank. Yesterday we adopted Mortimor, so now we need a brother for him. It always works out tho
I just rescued 4 baby rats from a box someone left outside of a shop. I'm so excited to see your method of bonding with these two cuties. 😍 I need all the help i can get. 😂😅
As a German Kinder is such a random & funny name 😂 it’s German for children 🙈 I never thought Kinder would suit a rat so well 😂🙏🏻 they are so cute and thank u for saving them 🤎
I did an impromptu rescue yesterday too! For a Robo hamster though, he had begun “fighting with his brother and the owner didn’t want two cages” classic dwarf hamster situation unfortunately
My first group of rats were from p@h and they will always hold a special place in my heart. They ended up living until they were all three years old, had very little health issues and were the friendliest mischief I’ve had. I was very lucky to have had them ❤️
I love how you care so deeply for rats (and other animals). I'm glad you got these babies out of that situation. Also wanted to add that you talk to your rescues the same way I do. 🥰
Awwww....they don't even realize how loved and well-taken care of they are going to be yet. Here in Oregon we have a LOT of problems with backyard breeders, people rescuing feeders and dumping them because they can't handle them, pet stores selling supposed same sex pairs that are actually a male and now pregnant female. A lot of people dump them because they either can't handle them and they are biters and just all sorts of stuff. Pet stores here suck. They don't give proper information and don't even know how to sex them. So needless to say rescues and fosters are overrun with rats. Please please please people...do NOT get rats from pet stores, backyard breeders or feeder bins....you are just asking for trouble. Get your rats from reputable and ethical rescues and reputable and ethical breeders. Also, for the love of Gaia.....DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GETTING ANY ANIMAL.
I had a single pet rat 30 years ago and we loved him so much. I can't wait to be a rat mommy again and do everything I can to do things correctly. 🥰 Your new boys are super cute. Can't wait to watch them thrive with you.
Had a single rat also, that was 30 odd years ago. Kept him in a four foot tank, did all the things your not supposed to do today, sawdust, no free roam, but I loved him. The wife didn’t which was a shame. Have 4 lady rats now, big cage, doing it the right way now. Thanks to Emiology and other pro’s.
I was quite concerned when I say the title… I am so glad they got to a good home, and that they will both live out better lives then they would have ❤️
I adore adopting/rescuing rats 😭❤️ Watching them grow into fearless mischief makers 😭❤️ I've done it several times myself, and it's so rewarding. If I could I would save every ratto there is out there 😇
I recently got a new baby rat as well, Wasn't expecting to get a baby rat that day but a little feeder girl showed up and I couldn't resist the squirmiest half bald(she has grown hair since no clue what's wrong with her) feeder rat baby. She's a bit shy with humans but extremely rat social which I wanted, she's gotten my least rat social rat interacting with her which makes me so happy that my older rat finally has a friend. My most playful rat finally has a playmate that can keep up to her speed. It's just nice to find a perfect fit for your group randomly in a lone feeder rat.
When I rescued my sweet Freddie they were feeding him peanut butter sandwiches. He calmed way down once I got him on proper rat food. I think all the sugar was making him hyper. I'm impressed you weigh them without even trying to stick them in a bowl or something. They're so cute. I love hooded rats. I haven't had them in forever.
Sort of the same thing happened with me once - one of my local shelters had a single female rat who got dumped- and I saw her ad and I adopted her literally the same day :)) she was such an sweetheart, but she is not with us anymore :(
they are so precious!! i have one rat who i got from my breeder who is the runt of the litter, and he eats SO much and has a nutritious diet, but he just isn’t really growing as much as the other boys. he’s grown a bit but only like half as much as his brother. i guess he’s just a skinny legend
A few years ago, I had a rat, free roaming. This was long before I knew that I should keep more than one. But he escaped into the loft space, however I could always tempt him with a bit of toast! 🙂
Awww, what precious babies! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in the same situation… having to go “right now!” to pick up some adoptees. Best of luck with them, I’m sure they’ll be cuddle puddles in no time.
I found a pretty good cage that’s almost double the size of my current one. the current one is on the smaller side but still suitable ! however upgrades are always great. i only have one worry, one of my boys has stayed VERY tiny. I’m gonna have to put mesh around the outside of it. zipties really are the ultimate rat product
I'm in love with them! 😍 They remind me of 2 of my younger ones, Aero looks like my Zorro (both black variegated with a head spot) and Kinder is almost exactly like my Romeo, just with standard ears. Can't wait to see more of them! They don't even know how lucky they got. ❤
Great work! I just bought 9 ratties who were destined for snake food.. 5 boys & 4 girls. Have had rats before this but have never seen ratty love like the girls have, one's bossing me around - bites my toes if I don't pick her up after her staring at me for minutes.. the other three are warming up with two zooming around the house & playing hide & seek with me, the last is quite shy but I'm sure she'll warm up soon enough. The boys are shy too but they're becoming more relaxed with me. All this in a week, so glad they're with me.
IM SORRY BUT I CRIED WHEN I WATCHED THIS AS THEY ARE SO LOVELY AND YOU ARE JUST A ANGEL FROM HEAVEN TO GIVE THEM A NEW START AS THEY ARE SO LOVELYAND THANK YOU SO MUCH. PLEASE SHOW MORE VIDEOS ON HOW THEY ARE DOING
Wanna! They are both super cute- good job Emi!! Also I am rescuing a kitten called Toby in a few weeks and have been reaching all the videos of Hubble and his adoption 🤍
Awh they are so cute! I love there names. Funny enough I was making a rat hammock when I saw this video come out. That must mean you have 6 rats now! Wow. Anyway they are so freaking adorable can’t wait to see more of the
I’m getting my first two baby boys in a month!! I’ve been waiting two years!! and one of them is blazed which i know you love, and the other is white with a black spot over one of his eyes!
I‘m late but they are so cute 😍 I’m so glad you can give them a great home! Also not going to lie as a German speaker having your rat named Kinder which means children in German is very funny to me 😄
most of my rats came from situations like this. i'm reminded of my first two male rats. the previous owner said they gave them up because of an allergy, but it was clear the owner went to the petstore with no prier knowledge about rats. the rats had mites and they were in a small cage (that was technically sold as a rat cage) hamster accessories. it would've been fine if they were tiny six week old rats, but at 12 weeks they were already growing out of it. they were fed bread just like these two boys
I look forward to your videos every week! They never seem to come quick enough, lol. I first saw the new babies on Instagram, so I was very excited to watch this video
I hate hate HATE seeing "my kids have got bored of them". The reason I deleted my TikTok is because a child drowned their hamster because they didn't want it anymore. "I wasn't expecting to get rats yesterday, but here we are!" [EVERY RAT OWNER EVER!]
I love my little chaos potatoes!
Yep. Or "no more rats"... then you double how many you have lol
That’s so true. Every time I go to my exotic vet he says “.. MORE?” Yes MORE I’ve only got 5 😭😭❤️
True! I went to the shelter to get new foster kittens. Walked out with the kittens and 2 new ratties!

That was really lovely to watch, as well as informative. What an amazing enriched life you give your rats
I am not even kidding when I say that I had feelings that you would get some kind (hooded, varigated etc…) of blue rat! And you did! Congrats 🐀💙
I was hoping to! Was planning on going to a breeder for it as I have a lot of white rats at the moment 😂 but here they are!
Thank you for sharing, and congratulations on your new tiny guys! They're so sweet.
They're so cute! They'll have such a lovely home with you. Also, Aero looks so much like my girl Truffle!
They have found the best home now ❤️

I saw a gumtree advert for mice that were being fed peanut butter on toast.
So excited to watch, so happy they’ve found a great home with you💗

So cute reminds me of my moonlight
Has a white spot on her forehead too &’& same coloring (the black && white one)
I had to chuckle at the weights. My mischief is female, the largest gal I've ever had was less than 370 g! 😂
Your the reason I got rats thank you 😊
Whats the pouch your using that looks adorable. Also they are so so cute and its amazing they get the attention they deserve.
They are way too cute. I am a sucker for rescue rats too and try to rescue rather than buying from a bad breeder even though they most of the time come from just such breeders. I do buy from good breeders as well to get a good balance with rats that have not been through a terrible situation.
