I really like the overall look of original Spintires. But Mudrunner now has more potential to it for two main reasons: 1. Devs are making second free DLC to it already. 2. It has new maps in workshop

What's wrong with "more of the same" ??? I assume we'll see new maps and trucks like you would get in a normal add-on/DLC but I don't think they will tweak the graphics and physics engine that much... if at all. That's *maybe* going to happen in a sequel.
Mudrunner is not a sequel to spintires it is simply the same game under a new publisher. Unlike spintires which has been abandoned, Mudrunner keeps getting small improvements and updates. That being said, I honestly think that overall Mudrunner is a much better and more polished game than the original spintires. It still can be improved a lot of course, that is why our feedback is very important to the devs!
Good video. Camera control is far superior in mudrunner. Forget how bad it was until I tried it again after playing mudrunner exclusively since December. Spin tires original looks better though.
Also if i remember correctly, in Spintires you could use utility trailer to repair/fuel cistern to refuel even when they were unhitched from a truck. Can't do it in Mudrunner. Maybe it is possible, but i don't know how.
What's odd is that you can't do that with a semitrailer! You have to have it on a tractor to unload (can't winch and unload). Can't park it with a broken/unfueled truck, and it's nearly impossible to manage to get it back on the tractor without parking it first.
To add another, in spintires you can adjust tirepressure on alot of trucks, which adjust how the wheels react with terrain, dont think a single one in Mudrunner has that?
i got Spintires because vehicles have real looks. i meet with most of the vehicles when i was a kid, (mostly with UAZ, Kamaz trucks, and Zil.-130) so its soo good to see them as its real life counterparts. Also, i did not see a K-700 ever, but i see lots of RÁBA steigers, even nowadays, and they look very similar to it.
Sorry but the winch option in MR blows ST away. You can "fire" the winch from the drivers seat anywhere you look and it can attach and while you are pretty much driving, using Xbox PC controller. In ST (which I own) it's select advanced mode, go external camera, click mouse on black dot on truck, then and only then do you find that your winch potentially reaches nothing! A lot of faffing around. In MR pressing "Y" allows instant deployment and it will attach to what is available around you- or not if the case maybe, inc looking backwards allowing instant rear winch attachment to objects/trucks. Then when pulled out you D-pad up and instant release. You have to select advanced mode ,again, in ST then using mouse click release. By that time you could be stuck again as you have to stop pulling..sigh. Cab view in MR allows proper terrain angle and approach, in ST you often topple because of the stupid atop cab camera which means you cannot view the terrain angles properly or depth of water/mud. One of the biggest improvements over ST is the ability to drop a trailer and drive the truck to refuel etc. When you reverse back to the trailer it hasn't SUNK into the mud like it ALWAYS does in ST. You can easily fill multi trailers in MR also with logs, when driving in to auto fill yards, you can select the trailer with the D-pad and fill it with appropriate logs just as easily as the main trucks load. Also, you do know that power steering requires the engine to be running? So ST has you wiggling the wheel back and forwards like it's a feather while the vehicle is on it's side engine stalled. That is incorrect. In MR they modelled a slower steering (manual) turning which requires physical effort, since the engine has stalled and can't drive the hydraulic steering pump. Turning the steering side to side wouldn't allow self righting in real life unless the engine is running. I've seen Monster trucks do it on full throttle wheel turned, but that's over a thousand HP. The whole interface is miles better than ST, but then so it should. ST is dead and has been for years! Copyright is the issue with Oovee, so let's see how MR Does when they release American MR.? When their hands are no longer tied to what trucks they can and can't use.
Hell I still love playing ST, when I want an outside view of the detail on the trucks, terrain. But the 'cleaner' control method on MR rocks! I can honestly say - till you mentioned it- I had never used the left/right winch pull. I'll try it now though 👌 At least we can own both and enjoy both aspects of each game.
Great video, I am now really glad I got SpinTires. Also, there's a glitch/mistake: You can't park a semitrailer/parkable trailer on a truck that is broken/unfueled. Almost always, the way to park a trailer is to manually crank a hydraulic system.
I have mudrunner and its possible to make the color and brightness better, not saying that i prefer it but it is still an option. The only thing i agree with are the wheel options.
I wish they'd bring back turning the wheels when your engine has stalled, that would've saved me a lot of time (also hi SD1ONE, yes I'm re-watching your old videos :) )

As I have read on some steam forum topics, Oovee and the developers had some arguing going on over some money that Oovee didn't pay to the developers, so with the Mudrunner the developers runned away from Oovee and made a deal with Focus Interactive.

What really killed Spintires for me was how buggy multiplayer was. In Spintires we didn't manage to finish a single map without at least one corrupted save. In Mudrunner we finished 4 maps and not a single broken save yet. Also, autosteer on winch is broken in Spintires for over a year.

I've been watching Snow Runner Mud Runner and Spintires. Where did all the mud from Spintires go? Spintires > Mud Runner > SnowRunner. Seriously the game is all about the mud. That's what made it so awesome.

B-255 is nerfed in Mudrunner? Damn that's one my favorite trucks in the game. Lock it in 1-3 gear, 6x6, and diff lock and that truck will climb pretty much anywhere. Heck the trophy where you need to climb 3 mountains in the Island map, I used the B-255 to beat that. The B-255 has a great crane setup letting you load a load of small logs onto the truck, as well as hook a small log cart. Use a second truck to have a fuel tanker and another small log cart, and use the winch to link both trucks together. 3 loads of small logs = 9 load points (3 points a load) and you can fill a lumber mill in 1 trip with this setup. It's way better then messing around with medium or long trailers. I don't touch those unless I have to. But yea I love the B-255, surprises me it was even better in Spintires.
Mudrunner has better water and smoke effects. Still prefer OG. Two things I'd like to see improvements on (either version), is better engine sounds and more speed. I know for a fact that almost none of the vehicles/machines' real life counterparts are limited to all of about 9 mph tops.
I think the poster simply doesn’t like a challenge, as several of the issues mentioned are challenge based. I’ve found the MudRunner B66 to be a great support vehicle - esp. for a 2WD, and rescue is never a problem if you’re creative and utilize all your vehicles.
1min 40, I just played mudrunner 6 hours ago and rolled my car, and you can turn the wheels. So either this is wrong or it got updated later on as I see this vid is abit old.
Nowadays there are much more mods for mudrunner than for ST (at the steam workshop) Color saturation for the Russian maps of mudrunner can by modified by adding shaders and filters whilst playing the game. Check on RUclips for tutorial.
How do u move the cursor when u open the map in mudrunner, I cannot do it, I cannot move in map freely, to see a point I have to choose a vehicle which is parked their or a lumber mill, please tell!!!
Lol a game that recommends GTX 470 to play it good and it is a 10 year old card. Mudrunner was released 3 years ago :D Consoles where good enough to run it smooth. it's just a design choice to make the game look how it looks now. Cheers!

Thats right i B130 is useful in spintires rg I use it to help my main truck so dont have much struggle Example I use C6522 that have garage trailer and B130 in the front so tjey can Push/Pull each other
I bought Mudrunner two days ago on steam, it was 2.49€, 90% off. The first thing I noticed is the diff lock missing on Zil 130. Then the diff lock missing on Kamaz 65115 (6520 in original spintires). Another thing is the dumb garage trailer that is like a shed on steel wheels. What whas wrong with the normal garage trailer like in the original game? I'll keep on playing Mudrunner to see the pros and cons. Nice video to point out some of the things.
I agree that spintires might be better in some ways but mudrunner has a developer team still working on in proving the game so someday they might address some of the things you talked about especially the color every time I played mudrunner I think I'm going to get depressed
Yeah, tought about reistalling Spintires. I loved it more, it has beautiful maps and the trucks felt more powerfull. Now, even the big MAZ can only crawl, but still eats a ton of fuel. The was the point in Spintires, you only used it if you got no other option, now even a Kraz can do what a MAZ can. But, and that a big BUT, does Spintires still have multiplayer, that's the only thing that holds me back
Yep - like you said - Spintires has better color & lighting - Mudrunner shading / shadows seem to create a better sense of depth & curvature. Great example of ST w/ better visuals vs MR objects / models / components @ 1:25

I just got mudrunner yesterday due to the wonderful sale price for spintires original gamers, hopefully for my next PC I'll get to give it a go, since my current one's due for upgrade and too slow for something like that. These points were something I remembered when the game was new, and it made me not get the game. But I won't ignore a sale price of $2. lol
really like your channel but i think mudrunner did a better job with vehicle recovery because you go turn of the engine to your car, no power steering and try to turn the wheel side to side. plus it would be 100 times harder with the tires in the mud, just saying
wish i could agree but im biased to mudrunner since i bought spintires and uh the game wasnt starting up i fixed that then the game had no sound output at all i still play a bit of spintires with spotify on to ignore the fact that the game has no sounds but i still have 10 times less playitme on spintires than on mudrunner and snowrunner

I use it to help my main truck so dont have much struggle
Example I use C6522 that have garage trailer and B130 in the front so tjey can Push/Pull each other

I bought Mudrunner two days ago on steam, it was 2.49€, 90% off. The first thing I noticed is the diff lock missing on Zil 130. Then the diff lock missing on Kamaz 65115 (6520 in original spintires). Another thing is the dumb garage trailer that is like a shed on steel wheels. What whas wrong with the normal garage trailer like in the original game? I'll keep on playing Mudrunner to see the pros and cons. Nice video to point out some of the things.
Why did they remove diff lock and chained wheels from b130?
Wait a minute, when the engine off and your car sideways, you can turn the wheels, and is that possible to do it?
Tbh, I like the dullness colors of MudRunner more than I like the colors in SpinTires.
I hate the amount of light spintires has it hurts my eyes in my opinion mudrunner looks more pleasing

I agree that spintires might be better in some ways but mudrunner has a developer team still working on in proving the game so someday they might address some of the things you talked about especially the color every time I played mudrunner I think I'm going to get depressed

Yeah, tought about reistalling Spintires. I loved it more, it has beautiful maps and the trucks felt more powerfull. Now, even the big MAZ can only crawl, but still eats a ton of fuel. The was the point in Spintires, you only used it if you got no other option, now even a Kraz can do what a MAZ can. But, and that a big BUT, does Spintires still have multiplayer, that's the only thing that holds me back

Yep - like you said - Spintires has better color & lighting - Mudrunner shading / shadows seem to create a better sense of depth & curvature. Great example of ST w/ better visuals vs MR objects / models / components @ 1:25
God that is one thing i wish they would add, being able to change your rim/ tires.

I just got mudrunner yesterday due to the wonderful sale price for spintires original gamers, hopefully for my next PC I'll get to give it a go, since my current one's due for upgrade and too slow for something like that. These points were something I remembered when the game was new, and it made me not get the game. But I won't ignore a sale price of $2. lol
really like your channel but i think mudrunner did a better job with vehicle recovery because you go turn of the engine to your car, no power steering and try to turn the wheel side to side. plus it would be 100 times harder with the tires in the mud, just saying

wish i could agree but im biased to mudrunner since i bought spintires and uh the game wasnt starting up i fixed that then the game had no sound output at all i still play a bit of spintires with spotify on to ignore the fact that the game has no sounds but i still have 10 times less playitme on spintires than on mudrunner and snowrunner
The mods don’t really count because spintires has been out longer than mudrunner
Whoa, I never even knew there was a game like this before Mudrunner. It has that older looking jank that I find appealing from stuff like, say, the older farming sim games. I have a fondness for the jank.
In Spintires, wheels get covered with mud but in Mudrunner, wheels only carry some hard mud pieces.
