I recently got the 13 mini, upgrading from the 11. Absolutely LOVE the size and glad I waited for this version instead of the 12 mini, since they fixed the battery life issue

The main thing to remember with the MagSafe battery packs is that a lot of the 3rd party ones don’t fit on the 13 mini (Anker, Pitaka, Mophie, etc.). I think the Apple one is the best option for this phone size.

I think people who complain about the size don’t also own an iPad Pro big boi size. I use the iPad for media comsumtion and the iPhone for calling and texting. Best for my workflow.
Just took delivery of a 13 Mini yesterday. Already loving it! I don’t understand the hate from lots of people over the last year. Thanks for a very helpful video - I will pick up some of the accessories.
Yes to the case, but I stopped using screen protectors years ago... They scratch and break too easily and I've not had any issues with the actual screens scratching or breaking. I don't want to look at the amazing screen through some crappier piece of glass.
Had the apple leather case and the corner ripped for my 12pro max. Apple refused to replace it. Got the silicon and it’s been a gem. Buyer beware. The new leather cases are not nearly as durable.
I have a leather case in my 5s which is about 8yrs old, you can see it's a little worn but overall great shape. Always spends time in my pocket, no pealing or breaks. Bought the same case for my 13 mini now.
I feel like calling the magsafe battery pack "single use" makes it sound like a disposable straw 😂
This time last year, I upgraded from iPhone 7 to XS. Meanwhile, my kids went from iPhone X to the 13 Pro. Personally, I'm not a fan of the weight of their phone. For that reason, I’ve already decided that my next iPhone - when my XS doesn’t get the latest iOS - is going to be the 13 Mini.
I use a Rhinoshield Crashguard NX with a Popgrip on my XS. They look SO good, and the phone has stayed in my hand really well. Would definitely recommend.

@@VIZOP I did but since I’m planning to use my phone as a secondary camera, I instead upgraded to the 13 Pro with 1TB of storage in sierra blie. Pro max was too big for me and I’m glad I made this choice

the 12 pro is the same as the 13 mini in most aspects, including battery life, you actually downgraded your camera

This is a great video, with all kinds of accessory ideas, but one question remains: Is there a battery-based wireless charging station setup the allows your iPhone 13/Mini/Pro to charge while it sits up to make it easy to see the screen/time?

The Iphone 13 Mini is the phone for me. Probably the best phone I’ve had in awhile. It’s comfortable, refreshing and fun. I would prefer to see smaller devices in the long run. Having to carry less weight is essential. Plus, having stuffed pockets while walking around may not be the best idea. Hope Apple will continue with the mini form factor, as an alternative for us who want to have a break from all these gargantuan phones. Sadly, This 13 mini will be the last of the breed. Shame on Apple for ending the Mini series. If Apple still want to continue with the mini, I think Apple should update the mini lineup every 2/3years.
You kind of contradicted yourself there - an audiophile wouldn’t waste money on those, they’d buy proper headphones to listen to their music. Far better options for music than those. 👍🏻😉

I got the iPhone 13 mini and AW 7 and iPad mini 6 all in Starlight and I love them all plus I got 256gb I plan on keeping them awhile
I wouldnt mind the mini with a battery pack! I love big phones however, everyday use in the daily life and one handling, the mini is practical. Great review! Question if you charge the phone, does the battery pack attached to phone charge aswell? 👍 👍
Just upgraded from the XS to a Product Red 13 Mini. I knew I was swapping my XS this year, as it's about to lose the latest iOS, but its battery health (or lack of it) hastened the upgrade.
Using a bumper and MagSafe grip - not a fan of full cases - and have already got myself quite a few MagSafe accessories. These include a portable charging stand that I can use on the go, and to trigger Standby Mode when I'm home.

I have a suggestion for a MagSafe portable charger that blows apple’s out of the water.
Anker makes a 5000mah MagSafe portable charger that has a build in foldable kickstand. It functions very similarly to the moft MagSafe wallet!
You just pop it in, it charges, and you can even reposition the charger to watch videos in landscape or portrait orientation.
It goes for about 50-60 dollars and it’s amazing! Even charges through usb type C.
And it also has the ability to charge your phone while it is charging at the same time.

So a screen Protector is basically just a thing against scratches because apple Ceramic Shield for the front is strong enough my iPhone SE with the worst grade held 25 falls by now hasn’t broken once just a few small scratches that you can only see underneath light at a specific angle
Magsafe completely obliterated my iPhone 12 pro max's battery life. Got down to 98% after half a year, then I started using magsafe, went down to 85% within the next 5 months. Switched back to normal wired charging and its still at 85% 2 months later.
Thanks for the heads up I will avoid this product now, seemed stupid to use a battery to charge a battery anyway. Besides wired charging is so quick now
it also ruined mine to 83% in a year☺️
To not sound like a shill and my last iPhone was the 11, I think you may have had a bad phone. Apple isn't that stupid to invent tech for it to ruin consumers phones unless they want to get stuck in litigation over battery issues again.

Gary, I'd highly recommend you also test the Jabra Elite 75T or similar earpods. They fit me great for cycling , are weather proof and also have noise cancelling functions that are customizable. Give them a try and a review !

Ordered then13 pro max with 1 tb. I’m still on my old iPhone X. It overheats after 5nphotos and crashes all the time. 4 years. Can’t wait for it to arrive. Got the iPad Pro magic keyboard yesterday. So nice. Looking at the wireless charger. Always get whatever’s popular on Amazon but looking at the MagSafe apple charger .. worth the apple tax? Never mind. Got to that point of the video. Lol. Too pricy and doesn't give a full charge. The word is just slightly extends. U can get other brand or a China 1 half the price and get 4 full charge cycle for ur iPhone. But if ur a hardcore iPhone user brand loyalist it wouldn't matter in terms of price. But hey it fits and sticks well with the iPhone so that's the convinient part.
I just look at iPods and wonder, how do they just not fly out of your head during activity? My old earpods did, and sometimes my LG Tones did too so I’m just not convinced to drop that kind of money 😐 BUT as for other accessories.. how well do the new phones with sensor stabilization work with hand gimbals? A few used to cancel each other out and get really “janky”, so I am wondering about that. The latest would be to put either an iPhone 13 Pro (or max) or an S21 Ultra onto something like the newest DJI Osmo models. 🤔
I thought the same, I find most in-ear headphones never fit my ears or keep dropping out - the AirPods legit don't seem to fall out of my ear! I have no idea why, they're just hanging there? But yeah, make the jump, get amongst it.

With the new batteries being bigger it makes even less sense to get the Apple magsafe power bank . It wont be able to charge the mini completely

Yes , had the12 mini after experiencing that battery it was ok at first then the health started dropping faster I just traded in for 13 mini the battery and camera is worth the upgrade. My 12 mini camera was fuzzy.

NOT AT ALL! The camera upgrade is not even worth it! Especially the cinematic mode still needs some work! The battery is better but not so much that its worth the upgrade!

yeah , I do not believe we need any case or screen protector for the iPhone , specially in this size ,, Im like,, putting these two extras on your phone it kinda ruins the whole feeling of holding your new phone naked in your hand .

@@kahankahankahan I have an apple 18w and a 20w usbc brick. Now I have a mag safe charger for it as well. The health status changed shortly after one of the first iOS updates was pushed and battery optimization was turned on. Since then it’s been stable at 87%.
I traded in my iPhone 12 mini at Apple for $400 then paid $329 for 13 mini. Battery life is good now…….really good!
