Years ago, I wrote to Mr. Cole for publicity stills for my disabled son - not only did we get a personal reply, but Jude made certain to personally sign everything to Gannon; his wife followed up with a nice note and more items. Gannon turns 24 today, still plays all of his Jude Cole music, and still has all of the photos/posters on his wall. =) Nice, talented gentleman that I wish was more appreciated in his field.
@@jaygodfrey1739 I was introduced to Jude Cole's Music back in 1993 with his "Start the Car" Album. Check out the Entire CD! and His self-titled JUDE..

Is he still married? I met him in Denver in 1990 and he was so sweet. I would love to catch another show sometime. Is he still hanging out in Colorado from time to time?
Me too. I though I'd played it until I was tired of it but I never was. I just pulled it out of my CD collection today to listen. Every song has a terrific groove. Tell the Truth: It's my favorite Blues/Rock album.
@MadnessMobile I saw Elton John in a Pub in London England 1970 (it was packed) but he didn't make big until he came to America. Homegrown Americana doesn't use gimmicks but it's the real heart of American music. It is timeless and melds into one and we're the richer for it.
One of those albums where every song is very good and stands on their own. Taken as a whole could be the soundtrack to a great movie! One of my favorite albums, always have in on when road tripping.
Such an under rated artist... Start The Car is definitely his best album! I only know of this guy because of my dad... Jude deserves way more attention with out a doubt.
Discovered Jude Cole when a co-worker gave me the lp Start the Car. Feel in love with this obscure album with not a bad song on it. Favorites include Open Road(ex-trucker here), Just Another Night, and First Your Money......but every song is great. My hidden gem of music that no one knows about😊
My Dad's old co worker grew up with him and turned my Dad into one of his biggest fans. I grew up listening to these albums on cassette tape, then cd, now i'm on youtube. My 2 year old is even hooked and can sing along to this song ( kinda ) Nothing better than watching my daughter singing along with me to an artist I idolized as a kid with my father
Living in Illlinois in the early '90's....listening to Jude Cole. A soundtrack of my life at that time. I STILL listen to this CD when I need a shot of happiness and nostalgia!! :)
Same! I'm from Chicago. I discovered the albums in 2009 and have ever since been listening to it from IL to Nashville back to IL again... stays with me forever!
Jude Cole's songs are a major part of the soundtrack of my life!! What a great singer/songwriter he is. His album from 2004--"Falling Home" is excellent
Jude Cole is a lot like Stephen Bishop, just so damn under rated and yet they’re two of the best songwriters and singers around, such a shame they didn’t get the attention they deserve, all of Jude’s Albums are great especially the first four Albums, heck probably all of them, although I would love Jude to have a go at getting back to this sound or even a mix of this and A View From 3rd Street
If this record came out in 1989, it would have been WAY bigger. Jude was another one of the artists that hit their commercial prime in the heart of Grunge and so I think it was a bit stunted by that. This record is so good and would have been a top 10 album in 1989 I am sure.
@@collinjamesguitar About 1971/2 it would've been number one, unfortunately that's just time and the way it goes. If you'd said the garbage I'd be listening to today would be the standard, I'd probably have gotten physical.
This song is awesome, I've loved it for years and now my granddaughter loves it to, the backing vocals are brilliant, and I love the film clip, so easy to groove to it ♥️
Hi Everyone, I met Jude back in the early 80's when he was doing a promotional tour of Austalia,he came to the Brashs store in Chatswood,I loved the album so much I bought it on Cd and still have it.It has so many great songs including this one.Once of the classic singers, there should be more like him today.
Jude Coles music is amazing. Never listened to an artist with so much feelings put in his songs. I play it for people who haven’t even heard of him and they are instant fans. Thanks Jude. West Virginia loves you !🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Why more music like this TOTALLY AWESOME tune doesn't get more recognition is beyond me .. instead we're stuck with NICKELCRAP and loads of other shite .. thank god for satellite radio !!! .. This song has everything .. Canada's Sass Jordan is the back singer on this track
My goodness!! Freaking awesome!! I can’t dance a lick, but this whole album gets me gyrating all over the place-even while driving! Speakers can’t turn loud enough to satisfy me!
I wore my cd out, Start the Car, Biew from 3rd st. Can’t find a new one anywhere, bought 3 on Amazon used, no good. Management dropped the ball on JUDE COLE!!!
Man I heard the best song on his album while on a flight and loved it from the first time and bought the cd in quick order. Love it. His music doesn't age. Hope he continues.
One of the Best songs of that decade.....and STILL ROCKIN' !!!!! (btw, released 1992) Also gave me leadfoot & 2 speeding tickets that year!!! AWESOME ROAD TRIP SONG!!!
All I can still say, and I've posted before, this is simply BITCHIN!!! This is real kick ass R.&R. And I'm 80 years old. I may be senile but damn sure not deaf!! Jude Cole rocks!!!😂❤🎉
For anyone just hearing Jude Cole - check out Worlds Apart, Baby It's Tonight or (for a nice semi-acoustic personal performance, try Believe in You! You can't help but love this music!
Two different years, of course, but there was something magical in the air on June 18th, the birthdays of both Paul McCartney and Jude Cole. Absolutely incredible talents, both of them.
WMG (and the other record companies) really need to say the year that songs came out (1992), not just the year the video was remastered (2005). That confuses people, remember there's lots of people now who weren't alive when these older songs came out.
Every single time my ex and I went camping or on a trip, this song was at the beginning. She did not go out with dignity, but I will be damned if I don't LOVE this song.
totally love this song, this guy was super talented. video cracks me up. low budget, is that his school teacher lady singing back up. love the big brother wearing the cowboy hat! awesome
I heard this one this morning on the Classic Hits station for the first time and for the life of me couldn't figure out who it was. That's because it was Jude Cole, an unknown musician to me until today. I really do like this song tho and plan to explore Cole's other work. This song is nice and bluesy but also carries nice Arena-ready punches, very good imo.
I have to listen to it on the internet because I have the tape of Start The Car. I love it. I haven't heard anything from it in years until the other day at work. I came home and looked him up!
If you can sit still during this one, I regret to inform you that you're probably dead. The only think I can think of that's better than this song is the video. Great editing work.

I remember in late 92 or early 93, hearing Worlds Apart on the radio.
Big fan ever since.
American needs some Jude right now 🎉
They've had him all along, but like Hendrix (not making any comparisons), don't seem to appreciate him.
Release this album today, and it would be on the top of the current "Country" charts. Awesome music, not one dud on the album.
Travis Tritt did a version of this in the late 90s it made it on to the country charts then.
Love Jude and his wonderful music - then again- he is my cousin-
